Interesting example that shows how this isn't that uncommon as they got Chido in a similar way from Arsenal at 16 as someone's going to get JJ Gabriel.

If there was strong, respected leadership at United then a problematic dad wouldn't be an issue at all. Instead it's Jason Wilcox and Omar Berrada.

They shouldn't be too worried about losing Chido Obi anyway, he ain't it.

Everything I'm reading seems to suggest that JJ Gabriel is a sound lad and gets on great with everyone at the club, but his Dad's just an absolute lunatic, who has already burned bridges at Chelsea, Arsenal and West Ham academies before moving his son up north. It's a really sad situation for such a talented young lad, but his Dad's just out to exploit his talent.

I can't see any way you could attribute any blame to United, or expect the club to have done any more than they have for the player.

I'd agree if this was a one off but it's just the norm at United over the last few years. Everyone who leaves seems to do so for such little value and with such drama.

I'm really struggling to see that to be the case. Yes, we don't sell well, but the drama is limited to a couple of select cases and for each of those I can't see what the club could have done any differently. What drama are you seeing?

Garnacho, Rashford, Greenwood, Anthony, Sancho, Van de Beek, Free Kobbie Mainoo, etc. Just such sagas. Constant speculation and ultimately, poor loans and deals (for United).

I'm absolutely not putting what Greenwood did at the feet of the club, just to be clear, but that became a saga as they held on to him. I have sympathy for them over that, and some here because JJ Gabriel's Dad seems like a whopper, but these dramas, getting poor value on transfers, getting so few young players through (by their high standards), manager churn, it's all part of the reasons why they're miles behind City and Arsenal.

United is a great club but it's rarely behaved like one post-Ferguson. IMO anyway.

There wasnt really much to this to be honest.

Amorim just didnt fancy Mainoo. He for some reason thought he occupied the same space as Bruno. Bruno doesn't miss games so Kobbie was never getting any minutes.

Kobbie's idiot brother then wore a t-shirt to a game for attention. 

This absolutely would have become a mess if Amorim didn't get sacked though as Kobbie was heavily linked to going to Chelsea or Napoli to maybe actually play a bit of football.

Not drama like Greenwood but a saga of every transfer window from the first one after they bought him. Trying to get him out on loan or out of the club. Utter incompetance, is my point.

That's my point in general. The Glazers and now Ratcliffe are letting down every decent United fan. That isn't news.

All of the INEOS owned / part owned football clubs are doing horrendous. I dont see any evidence that they are good at this.

Another fantastic performance from us. Max Doxman being his usual sublime self, took his goals really well. He has it all to be the next megastar in football. Won every game this season, one trophy in the bag and three away wins in succession. Now time to get the forth away at Brighton on Saturday.
