Heard the news from Kieran gwailofilms who heard it from Phil Jones. No secret he’d been unwell with the kidney stuff for a long time but it’s still no age.

Moj was an odd, abrasive fella on here but was always lovely to me in real life. Choosing to believe he’s back with big Stew now, making afterlife S&M podcast eps that’ll get them kicked out of heaven.

I think I'll need something cleared up for me here. Was Moj the person who'd do the behind the scenes stuff on here if we had a forum shutdown from time to time?

Aw jesus what a week.

Moj was abrasive as hell online (who can forget the constant wishing of SARS on people), but quite a sweetheart in real life. Incredibly generous, a fount of knowledge, and real funny.

I went to quite a few wrestling shows with him in the 2000s and continued to chat to him online in the past few years. Greatly missed.

Rest well RiM brother ♥️

Edit: no @Chilinot sure who you're thinking of. Moj used to have a little animated Kawada avatar. Came up with the Shitarse 50. Used to podcast with $tew. Wished cancer on everyone.

I'm attaching this photo he sent to me of him with Tony Khan last year. He would find it funny.

Ah, man. This hits particularly hard, as I always got on well with him, and, as has been said, despite the abrasiveness online, which most of the time was funny (in line with the humour of the day, but has not aged well, admittedly), he was a really nice guy in real life.

He'd had a lot of struggles, most notably with the NHS to get the kidney transplant he desperately needed, and what's so sad about this is that, following the transplant, things seemed to start clicking into place for him. He and his wife welcomed their kid to the world not long after.

His place in forum legend is secure - I'll probably reread the Shitarse Fifty soon.

RIP Moj.

Moo probably?

I think Moj was before my time as a regular poster on here but I do remember him from my lurking days before I joined. Definitely remember that Kawada avatar. Sadly doesn’t work anymore…

Sorry to hear this news and condolences to those of you who knew him. What a shite week for this place.

I gave Moj a lift to what would turn out to be my favourite live match (Flash Barker and Zebra Kid beating the snot out of each other) and then nearly scared him to death myself by taking the Essex Road level crossing tunnel on our way to/from Broxbourne.

Rest well.

Ah this is sad. As has been said, definitely abrasive on here and loved the dark/edgy humour but he was a gent in my few interactions with him. I also remember selling him a spare converter for the N64 so he could play Virtual Pro Wrestling 2 because we were so nerdy we needed to play the Japanese AKI games.

@Up Chuck Would I know you by any previous usernames on here?

That's really sad news, especially coming on the back of the news of JTTS passing too. Tough week for the Kef. My thoughts are with those on here that knew him.

Moj was responsible for the Shitarse 50, one of my favourite threads of all time, certainly the funniest. I'll always be grateful for that. I hadn't been on the forum long at that point, it was probably that thread that convinced me that this place was worth sticking around for, and here I am 18 years later!

RIP Moj.

Christ not a good week for UKFF'ers...I imagine in some ways we are all old cunts now and shouldn't be surprised, but still. Horrible news all around. Moj was definitely the type of poster that just simple doesn't exist these days, nasty and abrasive but also very funny in a way that the internet just was back then.

Completly off topic but:

Unlocked a very core memory for me...wasn't there basically two ways you could go, through the tunnel or the boring way? Does that still exist?

What a shame. Got to know him better since twitter started, and he really was a lovely bloke. I sent him some old audio from his phone calls on Talk Sport a few years back. And nobody will ever forget the ShitArse50. Which if you take out fundraisers and the other great stuff the people on this forum do, could genuinely be peak of this here website.

Rip pal.

You had the normal level crossing , which during rush hour was shut for most of the hour and the tunnel.  The tunnel was for lunatics.  Height-restricted, single width, but with no priority, so it was pure YOLO if you decided to try it.  Many head-on collisions and entranceway strikes from anything taller than a Focus.

There's now a proper flyover bridge that replaced the crossing and the tunnel.  It's been there a good ten+ years, but it took years to build and they closed the tunnel even before the main bridge building started.

Edit: 2005ish they closed the tunnel.  I've merged the building of two bridges on that stretch of road in my mind between 2005-21.

That's shitty news. Moj & JTTS were two of the stalwarts when I signed up here (initially for the FWA forum) over 20 years ago.

RIP Moj.  Remember the days of him wishing cancer upon Drew McDonald, through to the Shitarse 50 and meeting him at a couple of shows.  A really shit couple of days for the history of this forum.
