Absolutely any cover by this band of cunts stinks obviously, but this one is probably the worst I've had to hear.

I think someone put a limp bizkit song in the 'good covers ' thread so I don't think I'll be clicking any links in here.

If it's so bad it's funny does it count? Because I love Take That's version of teen spirit.

Was just about to post that, but you are right, why post the link and cause the grief.

That's been on my mind since it happened too. Limp Bizcuit didn't even cover the best part of the original! It's almost like a joke cover version.

Can anyone top Puddle of Mudd covering About A Girl?

His facial expressions are hilarious, he's struggling so much.

They've done others just as bad. Here's Rocket Man being strangled:

Also, everyone's favourite tax-dodging bogeye did this to Cuddly Toy:

Send him to Strasbourg with Netanyahu.

Never knew Barlow did that. That's genuinely irritated me attaining that information. State of it.

I have a bit of a love/hate thing for Chiara Mastroianni's version of Eye of the Tiger - it's not shit, but the first time I heard it, I thought it completely missed the point. On a re-listen, I like the boldness of the arrangement, the low-key, Western movie-style action feel, and the implied subtle determination rather than the outright yelling one of the original, especially in the context of Persepolis for which she performed it, but...I dunno. Even with all that in mind, it still feels like it misses...something.

In the absence of a "Sideways-moving covers" thread, I'll put it here.

I absolutely love cover versions, how they can maintain my love for a sing but change them and make me want to listen to both. I fucking detest bad covers.

Examples

Kelly Osbourne Papa don't preach. Jesus fuck man.

Madonna American Pie, it loses any sort of charm the original had.

Lorde Everybody wants to rule the world. We expect better from ya Randy.

Reel Big Fish Take on me, I'm sure some on here will defend it.
