I know we could put every single shitty slowed down cover song in this thread but as soon as you mentioned them this is the one I thought of that made me the most angry. Body Talk is a masterpiece of an album and this twat absolutely butchered this song.

Sorry for double post but this has really triggered me.

I worked in an office right in the middle of Buchanan Street for much of the 2010's. For anyone unfamiliar with Glasgow, Buchanan Street is the pretty much the main shopping street in the entire city. Both the main train stations are right off of the street too. I would assume it's probably the busiest street for Pedestrians in the city / country.

Because of this, its the absolute prime location for buskers. Buskers would arrive early in the morning to reserve their spot. Usually we had someone directly outside and you could hear them loud and clear in the office. One of the things you quickly realise is that most buskers have an arsenal of about 3 songs that they just repeat. At the time,I felt like buskers would take these songs and go "What if we made it even slower? What if we forced in even more fake emotion?". We had to just endure these terrible songs day in and day out.

Thank god for rain.

My cousin recently did an instagram post set to the following song. I cant quite believe the words I am about to type

"Walking on Sunshine by Ice Nine Kills AND Reel Big Fish"

Imagine you were already listening to some of the worst music ever and some genius goes "what this really needs is a bit of ska punk mixed in!"

Reel Big Fish's version of 99 Red Balloons isn't too bad, but only because they do one of the verses in German.

Their version of Gigantic by Pixies is dreadful. I don't mine their version of Take On Me by A-Ha, but they're no Me First And The Gimme Gimmes when it comes to punk/ska bands doing covers.

He got to share a bed with Gail Porter. Bastard.

Ive always had a soft spot for Wheatus, not because of their music, I just think they come across as quite likeable and it's one of those inexplicable "quite like them" things but this is so shit.

People used to pester me to play this so often  whenever I was out somewhere, or we had guests back when I was in Uni. It was this or Tribute by Tenacious D.

I'll raise your Brit actor turned singer: (I think Jimmy might have actually been a singer first, just not well known)
