I was surprised reading some stuff online that series 6 is widely disliked. I really liked that series and not just for Alice Levine. I even liked Russell Howard on it and I've never liked him on anything else, ever. Liza Tarbuck is one of the best contestants they've ever had.

S4 is another one that gets a kicking, but I thought it was absolutely fine. Mel Giedroyc  and Joe Lycett were really good.

Shout out to the contestants I was dreading but they turned out fine: Rob Beckett, Noel Fielding, Nish Kumar, Russell Howard.

Special shout out to Rhod Gilbert who I was dreading but he was fucking hilarious on it.

Interestingly any goodwill earned by them hasn't carried over to anything else and I'll still turn any off them off the telly after 5 minutes grace.

They're very charming, the Irish.

On this at the moment and echo these thoughts completely. Liza is just wonderful. Alice just has to breathe and I'm happy. It's a really good bunch for me.

If you are not a fan of the comedian then it can colour your viewing of a series. I don't hate any series and I would happily watch any of them, but 6 is my least favourite because of Tim Vine, who I can't stand as a comic. 6 still has some wonderful moments though. Lisa making Alex sit on that cake and then running away laughing still makes me laugh every time. As does Alice appearing to give Russell a right shunting in the knock over the ducks task.

Alex Horne said this was one of the funniest things they've ever shot for Taskmaster. I've watched it at least 5 times now and completely agree.

Thought the junior one was awful, as did I think everyone I know. Managed to talk to Mike Wozniak a few weeks back at one of his warm up shows and he said it's not coming back.

Not sure if I've ever told this story but I met Rhod Gilbert at Bristol Airport. Mentioned how great he was on Taskmaster and then talked for at least five minutes about it. He also rang Greg Davies as we were talking, but he guttingly didn't pick up. Top bloke!

The Aussie and New Zealand ones are nearly always a few notches down from the UK one, and some of the humour and references obviously go over the head, but there's definately enough value in watching them. The last Aussie one had the Is It Cake? task, which is one of the best ever on any series. It also had that guy booting the ball into the caravan from an insane distance, which is as good as the Joe Wilkinson potato throw. So definately value to be had in them.

Only watched the most recent series (20) because I know Phil Ellis quite well and was just delighted to see him finally get a decent career boost for himself. He's a brilliant performer.

Yeah this is me as well. A number of comics that I don't like at all I ended up enjoying on Taskmaster. Even Baddiel was decent!

I've just finished watching the Mae Martin series, and it had some genuine belly laughs in it.

I do think Ivo Graham is probably one of those comics who it will come out was a terrible pervert playing on his 'oho silly little English gent' idea though.

I love Mike Wozniak dearly, but never got on with Junior Taskmaster. The kids all being painfully middle class theatre kids gave me second-hand embarrassment that I just couldn't cope with.

I liked the kids' one. They were obviously extremely carefully selected but it was a good idea and some of them were really funny.

I don't think they were theatre kids Pat. They run Taskmaster Education in schools and they got them through that. Alex has said that they didn't want theatre kids and they did there best to make sure there weren't any. They were all middle class though, I'll give you that.

I went to watch a recording of Taskmaster and it was a great day out! It was the episode with Jack Dee and Rosie Jones trying to cheat at a pub quiz and it was funny as fuck! Long day though and you’ll be amazed to see how much of Greg’s dialogue with the contestants is him talking to an empty set of chairs

I think my all time favourite contestant is John Kearns. He was given a secret task which was to sabotage a team task and I was belly laughing through the whole thing. His interactions with Greg Davies were hilarious as well
