theringmaster Posted September 23, 2025 Posted September 23, 2025 1."You still got it" chants when a wrestler does one move. Point example, AJ Lee this past weekend, looked rusty and sloppy yet hit a cross body from rope and crowded chanted it (when, clearly she hasn't 'still got it') and then she smiled all proudly. 2."What?" Chants. Just the worst type of fan. 3. Triple H opening every major show. Is it the wwe or a triple H vehicle? Quote

This can stay. I'm not seeing it, so I don't care but, Tripper reminding everyone that he's the most insecure man alive will never not be funny. Quote
DavidB6937 Posted September 23, 2025 Posted September 23, 2025 I quite like it. Seeing him look uncomfortable on top of the Vegas venue should be the start of putting him on larger and larger buildings and places until he gets more and more pissed off. "NO HUNTER! WE NEED YOU CLOSER TO THE EDGE OF THE CANYON! SHOUT ARE YOU READY REALLY LOUDLY INTO IT!" Quote

Paid Members Scratch Posted September 23, 2025 Paid Members Posted September 23, 2025 I haven’t watched wrestling in years, but do they still do those ridiculous spots where 5 people outside of the ring stagger around, holding each other up, all waiting an age for someone to jump onto them from the top rope rather than just moving? If so, ban that. Also ban the drugs and sex trafficking - not that they’re trivial things of course. Quote
Tim Healys Chutney Spoon Posted September 23, 2025 Posted September 23, 2025 AEW bigging up announcements that.....there's going to be announcement soon! TK in particular Lights out and on again to introduce someone new. Don Callis's ankles...put some damn socks on man! Quote
Handsome Tex Hardcastle Posted September 23, 2025 Posted September 23, 2025 1 - The phrase "Turnabouts fair play". Michael Cole again. It wouldn't be so bad if he said it with a little conviction. The ghost of McMahons voice in his headset still haunts him. 2 - Shite stages for PLE's The comments section of every Wrestlemania stage reveal is full of people asking why grown men care about the stage for a Wrestling event. I do care, and I want giant, swinging blades for Backlash and medievil themed sets for KOTR. 3 - Wrestlers meticulously creating elaborate table/ladder set-ups without giving some idea as to what they originally intended to do with it. Amidst the chaos of an 8 person TLC Tag Team match someones beavering away in the corner putting together a deathtrap. It could only possibly come into play (and it will) after a very specific chain of events lead to a freak accident, but what were they up to in the first place? A minimum of one failed attempt to put someone through your contraption would be required. Quote

Zebra Kid Mark Posted September 23, 2025 Posted September 23, 2025 1. Being in a faction/group but tagging with someone else outside of your faction. AEW is the worst for this. 2. World champions wrestling on the TV shows. I think it would add more prestige to all the world titles (men and women, WWE & AEW) if the champions only fought on PLEs/PPVs. 3. Number 1 contenders getting pinned a few weeks before their scheduled title match. Quote
Paid Members garynysmon Posted September 23, 2025 Paid Members Posted September 23, 2025 Social media. Its made current wrestling unbearable for me and I’m so glad it wasn’t around for the Monday Night Wars. Almost every opinion you read makes you wonder if its just a bad faith actor just purposely bashing the other side, with everything having to be seen in this prism of the ‘culture war’ of WWE v AEW (and their respective ‘spheres of influence’ which drags in NJPW, TNA etc into the mix). Sad bastards creating an entire online persona just to mug off the other side. Gory hardcore or weapon matches That talentless twat with the cheese grater. Just fuck off. Overhyping They used to be terrible for every thing and every moment having to be the ‘best in the history of WWE’ to the point of it losing all meaning. Quote

Being in a faction/group but tagging with someone else outside of your faction. AEW is the worst for this. Yes! I knew I was forgetting something! AEW were doing this every week at one point; there would be two of the Trios champions teaming with a random other bloke in a trios match, or two members of Paragon teaming with someone else, a ten-man tag where three people on one team were members of the Don Callis Family and two weren't. There was a Trios match last month where Mercedes Moné tagged with two members of the Triangle of Madness. There's three of them! If they're not fighting as a trio, but tagging with other people in Trios matches, what's the point? Especially in that case because that trio only formed a week or two earlier, so need time to be established as an act. I commented on it on Bluesky, and got a bunch of replies like, "well obviously Mercedes isn't in the Triangle of Madness, nobody is going to be confused by that", but that's not the point - don't muddy the waters by having the new trio immediately in different combinations with other wrestlers, tell us why they matter and why they are a trio now. In kayfabe, there has to be a benefit to being in a faction, right? There has to be some sort of collective bargaining, shared agreements as to who gets what. Especially if the faction has a manager - Don Callis wants to make money off his wrestlers, so when his guys are in a ten-man tag, why would he not want all five guys on his team to be people he'd profit from rather than a couple of other randoms being in the mix? cobra_gordo Posted September 24, 2025 Posted September 24, 2025 (edited) "For the win!" AKA Michael Cole signalling this is definitely not the finish. Konnan on commentary. The WWE AAA shows have been really enjoyable but Christ, every word out of his mouth causes me physical pain. His tone of voice, the complete bollocks he's spouting, the fact that he sounds unprepared and unprofessional. The only commentator ever to make me pine for the days when we had Booker T at the desk, Mr Shucky Ducky Quack Quack. Pile on spots. You know the ones, where a load of smaller lads pile on top of a big lad who then hulks up and the smaller lads fly everywhere like a bomb has gone off. Looks naff and the smaller lads never manage to sell it in a way that doesn't look daft. Edited September 24, 2025 by cobra_gordo Quote
Paid Members Callum1993 Posted September 24, 2025 Paid Members Posted September 24, 2025 On a similar theme to some of the things already mentioned it’s bigger men/women in a Royal Rumble/ Battle Royal. Whether it’s Big Show, Khali, Nia Jax whoever ‘HOW ARE YOU GOING TO BE ABLE TO ELIMINATE THE BIG SHOW?’ Hmm I guess the same why he’s been eliminated from every over the top rope match for the last 20 years?
