Paid Members Scratch Posted Monday at 02:41 PM Author Paid Members Posted Monday at 02:41 PM (edited) We have a local events company that offer packages that include a return coach journey to a show of your choice, and they’re normally worth looking at. Their window is normally covered in a grid of simple A3 signs showing simply a photo, the name of the events, details of dates and cost etc. They were simple to review, read and take note of I walked past today and saw this. Hide contents It's the same with yard signs around here — it used to be stuff like "Baked goods for sale saturday" and an arrow pointing to the turnoff to the baked goods. Now it's an elaborate layout featuring lots of fake baked good and a cutesy hero character, with about 100 words, making it impossible for a driver to tell what it is or where it's at without risking a collision. Hide contents Mad that people think it looks good. We went to a car boot sale recently and there was a stall that had made AI posters to advertise all their various prices. I'd actually admire the effort, if they'd gone to any. Seen quite a few pubs who've replaced their signs with AI slop advertising quiz nights and food, etc but on a little drive out to the coast on Saturday, I saw one that had an AI generated logo, which they'd plastered all over their windows, ad board and on a swinging sign, which should be a fucking crime at this point. Super Intelligence, my arse. Quote

I saw someone talking about people confusing 'detailed' with 'good'. And I think that's exactly what happens. Quote
Paid Members Sergio Mendacious Posted Tuesday at 07:08 PM Paid Members Posted Tuesday at 07:08 PM (edited) This is a local bakery and sweet stand by the side of the road. Everyone is piling on Juju in the comments. Feel a bit bad for her, but the UI is completely broken, and people feel lied to when the photos are fake. simonworden Posted yesterday at 04:34 AM Posted yesterday at 04:34 AM The next stage will be idiots on Tik Tok talking about how amazing places with old school paper menus with words in Times Roman are. They'll probably use AI voices for the narration. Quote
Paid Members hallicks Posted yesterday at 07:53 AM Paid Members Posted yesterday at 07:53 AM This is probably a knockoff of someone doing it better etc, but here’s a guy purporting to be in a job interview with an AI recruiter. The idea is that his career started in 1994, working at an island attraction off the coast of Central America. https://www.instagram.com/reel/Dc_OK8vQNCc/?l=1 (dunno how to embed instagram, sorry) Quote
