Paid Members Hannibal Scorch Posted April 21, 2025 Paid Members Posted April 21, 2025 Night 2 started with the best match of Mania 41. It ended with one of the worst in recent memory and the ending was truly crappy. Aggregated score over both nights, 5/10 Quote
NeverYield Posted April 21, 2025 Posted April 21, 2025 (edited) What was that belt tussle all about? The yanking back and forth with the belt, just cringey and comical stuff, Who ever came up with that? Edited April 21, 2025 by NeverYield Quote
IronSheik Posted April 21, 2025 Posted April 21, 2025 They can't hit a home run every year I suppose ? pretty rotten main event and felt this Mania overall was fucking shite by usual standards. The nonsensical, zero-value insertion of that bag of bones rapper guy in the main event is so fucking annoying. He takes me out of the movie every time I see him shoe horned in. I feel like an entitled prick moaning about a free product, but some of the creative and story telling in recent Manias have been incredible, this just felt a bit flat for whatever reason. The low points outweigh the high points in my mind. I blame that boring, plastic, patronising Michelle McCool acceptance speech ? Quote
TheScarlettChad Posted April 21, 2025 Posted April 21, 2025 I'm a WWE fan but if anyone defends that main event you deserve to be called a boot licker. Horrendous. Quote

Funnily enough, I was just thinking how I had never seen him or the Undertaker crash their vehicles when driving around ringside when it actually happened. Hugely funny but that lady will probably get a big payday if she's so inclined. He also missed the on ramp to the stage and had to be helped back on by half a dozen people. This is why you shouldn't drink and drive kids. Quote
Paid Members FLips Posted April 21, 2025 Paid Members Posted April 21, 2025 The first 3/4 of Night 2 was so good I forgot Night 1 even happened. That opening triple threat was fantastic and then it was followed by Drew and Priest which was really good too and that fatal four way which was a star making performance for Bron Breakker and a worthy reward for Dom. I can let Randy vs Hendry go for not being a banger because it was a throwaway open challenge and Joe Hendry is an unfunny joke who looked like a baby stood next to Randy. Can’t imagine why you’d make him World Champion of anything. Styles vs Paul was decent but it annoys me Paul is such a knob because he’s the whole package, and it was kind of sad to see AJ losing it in real time. Good for Kross getting on the card. Skipped the women’s tag because Lyra is rubbish and I’m not arsed about Becky. A piss break match if ever there was one on this card. Main event I skipped too because I couldn’t be bothered with it but every time I stopped skipping someone was kicking out of a finisher and then Travis Scott turned up and it went downhill from there. Awful awkward finish that made Cody Rhodes look like the dumbest man on the planet. Overall the opening 3 matches were better than anything Night One had to offer. Paul vs AJ was no slouch either but the rest was skippable and from what i’ve read the stuff I skipped was bad. Lose the women’s tag and the Joe Hendry match off this, move the Jey vs Gunther, Tiff vs Charlotte and Punk/Rollins/Reigns onto this card and it could have been one of the best one night Wrestlemanias ever but instead you’re left with a weak first night and a second night that ran out of steam. Paid Members Lion_of_the_Midlands Posted April 21, 2025 Paid Members Posted April 21, 2025 Can someone let know when Travis Scott has got to the ring please. I've seen tectonic plates that move quicker. Quote
Paid Members LaGoosh Posted April 21, 2025 Paid Members Posted April 21, 2025 (edited) Cody's skull mask that clicked open was very funny. Goofy and lame as hell but you know Cody probably thinks it's the coolest most rad thing ever which makes it kind of endearing. Only watched Cena/Rhodes from the show which was awful. The hammy acting in the final stretch actually made me embarrassed. The absolute worst shit I've seen. And if this is the best Cena can do as a heel then probably for the best they didn't do it during his prime babyface years to be honest. Would have been a waste of time. AndyUK Posted April 21, 2025 Posted April 21, 2025 (edited) That felt like the shittest Mania in some time by the high standards they’ve set recently to be fair. Night 2 was a little better but not as much as you would expect for me. I’m not really sure Cena’s got it in the ring anymore either in a standard wrestling match so while it was the right decision for him to win, I don’t know if this title run is actually gonna be any good. Merzbow Posted April 21, 2025 Posted April 21, 2025 Even with a nine minute cut YouTube version that Scott entrance was far too bloody long. When will wrestling companies learn that playing tug of war with a title never ever looks good under any circumstance? Quote

Loved this but is the bold bit true? Christ. We’re gonna end up with WrestleMania being a week long eventually aren’t we? But all the stuff I read on social media about it was saying Heyman deserves an Oscar and, the worst, calling it “absolute cinema”. Vomit. Sometimes less is more. Bret rolling his eyes at Triple Bypass told a much better story and was way more entertaining than all that silly gurning into the camera after a two count, hoping a big Hollywood director is watching, ever will. I blame Shawn Michaels for all this. Isn’t that pretty much where all this started, his “I love you, I’m sorry” shit before retiring but not really retiring Ric Flair? Quote

NeverYield Posted April 21, 2025 Posted April 21, 2025 I love Cena, and he's obviously past it and that's why he's packing it in, but his in-ring heel work just doesn't come off the way it's intended. The slow pace, trying to convey not wanting to create a proper rhythm and dictating the pace in a shitbag way, constantly walking off or getting out of the ring, little sly moves rather than just wrestling, looking up at the crowd with hands on hips, it just didn't work for him imo, he tried to tap into that heel psychology and it didn't get across, it all looked awful. It's almost like bookers are insulting your intelligence with Travis Scott and I don't think I'll get over that belt tug of war and how dreadful it was for a while ? Quote
