I'm all for Heyman being on TV if they eventually have him and Punk make up again but it's done exactly like Savage/Elizabeth at Wrestlemania VII right down to outfits, wigs and Punk hoisting the sweaty con man on his shoulder as Pat McAfee, Cole and some right wing comedians in the crowd cry and applaud at ringside.

Also clocked this was the roast of Wrestlemania? So was Wrestlemania the subject or is that just the name they used. And where the fuck was Brandi Rhodes on OPEN MIC NIGHT?!?

I saw a few Comedy Central roasts year ago. I thought the format was they would be about one main celebrity but the roasters would make jokes about each other too.  So it was like if you signed up for this you would know what to expect.

This seems to be the whole of the WWE was the celebrity and you could tell horrific jokes about any of the wrestlers freely. Whether they were there "being a good sport" and laughing at themselves or not. I'm pretty certain Charlotte Flair was not there and apparently she was one of the main targets. Freddie Prinze Jr most definitely wasn't either.

It was basically just lets see who can tell the most racist/sexist/misogynistic joke about a bunch of people who did't sign up for this kind of shit. 

And if you don't like that then fuck you for being woke and getting upset.

Not defending it, but this is the type of humour that goes at these roasts. Comedy Central Roasts have had worse “jokes”. It’s not the Dean Martin Roast era anymore. I kind of expected it, especially with Tony Hinchcliffe involved. Doesn’t change the fact it was terrible all round.

Problem was, to Jim Bobs point, Roasts are about a person and the other Roasters roast them and their fellow Roasters. They couldn’t even get the format right. Jinder doesn’t even work for the company anymore but how else could they get an ISIS joke in otherwise? It’s not just the jokes are cringy as fuck it’s that it was all wrong.

Yeah I've done a roast or two in my profession and I'm not into them personally but you have agreed deals with your opponent or the subject who is on in person. There are rules to all this no holds barred bollocks. Don't believe Freddie Prinze Jr was about, Jinder Mahal isn't with the company either to my knowledge to be all yeah I'm ok with racism and yeah don't mind slagging me dead dad off Paul. 

If Tommy Dreamer was EVER going to make good on his ECW folding promise in 2001 after Heyman made that quip, this night would have done him wonders.

True. I suppose if Freddie Prince Jr wasn’t there in any capacity, it was unnecessary. I was thinking more of you know what you’re going in to with a roast. But yeah, they didn’t get the format right and it was all round shite and cringe. Did anyone besides that Fluffy guy making a retort, rip Heyman apart? Because that’s where people should’ve been doing the roasting.

I enjoy a roast, if everyone is in on it. Roasting people not there sucks.
