In 2025, you booked and promoted a Roast, featuring professional wrestlers. There is no alternative scenario. No other possible outcome. The only way it was ever going to go was a load of leaked audio of a dumpster fire, with weirdo oddballs being horrible and unfunny.

How it ever got greenlit is beyond me. The only explanation I can think of is that The Rock originally suggested it, but he’s now tutting and shaking his head. Can’t believe you allowed this to happened, Hunter. Poor form.

I’m not a fan of cancellation but given the mildness of things some people have been cancelled for, Heyman has went way over the line and only in wrestling would his career survive that. The comment about a mans father shooting himself in the head was absolutely mental.

I’ve not seen any of the clips or that comment, but having seen a transcript of some of the ‘jokes’ it seemed like typical right-wing ‘comedy’, with plenty of racism and misogyny, all utterly humour free.

Heyman’s always been a slimy, cretinous gobshite but all the arse kissing he’s been receiving seems to have made him way too comfortable. He’s vile in every way.

He was a big part of the reason I really didn’t enjoy Night 1 that much. Just sick of the sight of him and it seems like every time I check back in he’s dominating the main event picture and it’s all about him managing this guy, or turning on that guy and just being an overbearing sweaty stinking blob in general. Can’t stand him and not in a ‘heel heat’ way but in a ‘OK, that’s me switching off again for the foreseeable’ way. Bron Breakker’s one of my favourite things about WWE whenever I do pop back in these days and I see even he’s got the Heyman stench on him now. I get why it might help elevate him but I just can’t be doing with Heyman.

To end on a positive, because I don’t wanna just jump into these threads once in a blue moon to be a moaning prick, I really liked Night 2. Thought Iyo Sky vs Rhea Ripley vs Bianca was brilliant. Maybe the best match of the whole weekend for me. Didn’t really have any major expectations going in but thought it was quality. The four-way was ace as well and Dom Guerrero (sorry Rey) looked like a star. Didn’t have a strong opinion on him one way or the other watching last year’s Mania but just going off this he looked like a proper player. Enjoyed most of Night 2, it was pretty much just Cody vs Cena which left me cold.

I’ve got a pretty good joke about HHH getting tariffed for being pegged by Chyna but I’m gonna save it for real comedy fans and not you soft lefties. 
 

My mate went to it and he enjoyed it. The bar is pretty low on roast comedy and most probably feel like they got their moneys worth hearing Heil Hunter say “Fuck”. It was never going to be something us *decent normal functioning members of society* would enjoy and nor was it aimed at us. In reality it was probably as bad as we imagined it would be but for the people who paid good money to see it it was probably as bad as it needs to be to satisfy  them.
