I know a lot of people really like Joe, and he has been great, but that Samoa Joe as World Champion phase is probably the most second-rate the company ever felt. So many stars or potential stars in this company. People like Joe and Christian, however good they have been, should be nowhere near the top. They shouldn't be able to see the top without binoculars.

I enjoyed Joe's reign but he shouldn't have another one, imo.

A short Mox Vs. Joe TV feud could be fun, though.

I wouldn't be against them giving it to Cope, at the moment. He's likely got limited time left, he can go, and it'd be a relatively safe choice while they reset a little bit.

I don't know if you're going to get a big moment out of Mox dropping the belt, and the whole idea of 'bringing pride back to AEW' has kind of gone - the Mox story now seems to be 'cult leader hiding his insecurities with his brainwashed mates'. And there's not really an underdog anyone gives a fuck about other than Orange Cassidy for him to go up against, and they've kind of played out that one recently. 

I don't think they've played the storyline well enough for Darby to be the big saviour, and I think that's probably a poor call anyway. If they can heat it up again, Cassidy's the guy. If not, Cope would be a pretty smooth change of direction while they figure out getting it onto their next big set of players.

Personally, I'd probably give it to Cope for a couple of months, then have Okada beat him, and you're on track for a strong summer run of feuds centred around him, Ospreay, Omega, Hangman and Swerve.

Joe is an obvious person to feud with Mox and the Death Rides because he can do the "I'm as bad as you are" feud with Mox like Copeland is doing, but actually come off like it's true. He definitely shouldn't beat Mox

Would be well up for Joe v Claudio in there somewhere too.

My list was based on people who I felt could disappear without anyone realising - if I was going to post my real list, I’d probably keep a log of the unknowns and fire some of the legends. AEW was at its best when they were focusing on fresh names, and the number of established wrestlers was low. I think they have the balance wrong now, so people like Jericho, Cope, Saraya, Hurt Business, Undisputed Kingdom and others would be on their way out. I’m a big fan of Edge, but I’m not sure anyone is tuning into AEW to see him.

Browsing tonight’s lineup, we could be looking at The Hurt Syndicate winning the Tag Belts and Omega and Ospreay forming The Golden Bruvvas.

While drunkenly viewing AEW recently when Private Party's theme came up and starts with "Oh my god is that Private Party?" I did shout at my TV "oh my god who cares?" And I still feel I speak for much of their audience

I've only seen the first half hour of Dynamite but it was so great that I'm not going to bother with the rest of it because I'm pretty sure it's going to probably go down the toilet pretty quick.

- the venue was awesome. Love seeing unique buildings rather than the same generic arena's every week and the crowd was molten hot. 

- fantastic opening segment. A few minutes of good old fashioned Omega melodrama and promos before just kicking straight off into absolute glorious chaos. I love when wrestlers include actual wrestling moves into their brawls. Double moonsaults off very high things, top good guys and devious baddies, crazy shit, storytelling all combined to build up to what will be an insane match - inject this straight into my veins every week please.

- I think when people talk about "restoring the feeling" or whatever it's not always clear what the "feeling" is. But to me the feeling is and always will be Kenny Omega. If Kenny is doing good stuff that's all AEW will ever really need.

- The Hurt Syndicate are over huge and it's easy to see why. They are cool as fuck. Zayn had big Sasha Banks boo boo face coming out and I don't blame them. Private Party's title reign has been shafted but at the same time 1) Private Party are shite and 2) Hurt Syndicate is hot, the tag division is stale and needs to be rebuilt and they are the perfect team for it.

- Brilliant match with incredible action. My favorite bit being MVP calling over Bobby Lashley to the announce table so he could put Zayn through it. Love stuff like that. MVP is great on commentary. These two are going to be great champs because you can easily slot them into both heel and babyface roles without breaking any character consistency.

- Usual rambling Mox promo. Couldn't care less about any of this shit. Yuta's fringe is now taking over his entire face. Also the lighting for this promo was just flat and terrible.

- Great video package for Mariah May. I like her as Champ and think she does a great job but they haven't really given her any decent feuds. Followed up with a batshit hilarious Toni/Harley bit. Absolutely love these two and they should do a tag team down the line eventually.

And that was it for me, I'll probably catch the rest on YouTube over the next few days.

I don't have time to write about the whole thing but this comes close to perfectly summing up how it felt.

Theres a certain energy that AEW has when they're on a hot streak and everything's working and it's just different to what anyone else offers. And it's one of those things that is incredibly difficult to explain because it's not an exact science and there's no perfect formula for it. But when they manage to do it, there's no one else like them.

This week definitely felt like a massive step in the right direction. Building around the right people. Some crazy unpredictable performances. Maybe it is that feeling that anything could happen. WWE often has everything so rehearsed and perfected, which isn't a bad approach by any means, that the real alternative is when AEW feels a little out of control.

Can't say I didn't enjoy much of this.

Venue looked great. Crowd were great too. Really loud for most of it and enthusiastic.

New tag champs is so needed. I'm not even that big on Lashley but they are a great looking duo and this was superb. Little Brody/Buddy promo to tease us too. It's happening. Meat tag division is coming.

Harley was wonderful. Absolutely brilliant in the Mone skit and great with Toni too. How can you not love Harley indeed. Well said, Skiavone.

Much better dynamic from the Death Riders when it's Mox's henchmen being road blocks to protect his title. They could rescue this with a change of emphasis and some mind-erasing drugs. Main event was decent stuff. Long heat segment after but you need that sometimes. 

Kenny & Will kicking arse all over the building was just fantastic. That pop for the Ospreay somersaulting off a bloody stand was amazing. 

Much better stuff from the Jarrett/MJF program without any shooty bollocks. Again, a change of emphasis makes a huge difference to this build. Nice little interaction with Hangman too. Some stars starting to align in the promotion.

Fox & Swerve was flat and way too long. Didn't really feel Julia and Jamie. They were means to an end though, so I can get past it.

Collision looks decent this week. We rolling.

But he can't. He can never be happy. Not whilst he holds onto bitterness. Oh Hanger, don't you see? Unforgiveness is like drinking poison and expecting someone else to die. You didn't want to end Chris Daniels' career, you just wanted to take your pain out on him, but now look what you've done.

This felt like a case of a fantastic opening segment that set the rest of the show up for success. When it became 4 on 2 I assumed we were going heat segment, but then as it kept going I realised they were going to have Bruv Luvs beat them all up, and I was entirely here for that. That match will probably be absolutely nuts, but the most important thing was Osprey talking about getting involved with the Death Riders. YES. RESTORE THE FEELING. ASSASSINATE THE FASCIST!
