Hangman is just unbelievable isn't he. He commands your attention and just has put the work in to every little thing he does. His entire demeanour changed like you say when Daniels told him he won't be able to wrestle again and you felt the guilt, the glare changed, and for a second the old Hangman was there. The entire run from day 1 from Hangman needs to be studied. 

And then you get shite recycled every week like MJF and your brought back to reality!! Cant the lad just fucking wrestle in a match, he's bloody good but even he must surely feel his career going to shit. 

And add me to Team Willow, fuck sake Tony open your eyes instead of your wallet and give her TV time you(and preferably both women's titles) fool.

I'm imagining an AEW creative meeting between RJ City and someone else, who we'll call Buggernuts.

RJ: "Ok so we're going to bring Timeless Toni back on this show"

Buggernuts: "Oh great! You know I've had a few ideas for how to do that"

RJ :"Yeah? What's the best one?"

BN "We have Mariah beat the shit out of her"

RJ: "What"

BN: "Yeah, just whip her over and over again with the belt. Get some fantastic heat. Then Toni can reveal that this was her plan all along"

RJ: "Oh. Ok. I was thinking that...maybe, we should do a retread of the original angle? Like have Toni claim to be Mariah's biggest fan?"

BN: "Hmm. Ok, let's compromise. We can do that, but Mariah will see right through it and beat the shit out of her. Then Toni can reveal herself"

RJ: "Oh so she can fire back and beat up Mariah?"

BN: "Oh no. Mariah will be half way up the ramp at this point with security, who have led her away to stop this one-sided beat down of Toni Storm. Then Toni can cut a promo about revealing her plan"

RJ: "Her plan to get the shit kicked out of her?"

BN: "yes"

Buggernuts stares into space, grinning emptily until RJ leaves the room.

Yeah...that reveal was very weird and a massive misfire. They could have got more out of Classic Toni before doing the switch, it should have been teased gradually for weeks. If anything, they should have saved it for Grand Slam. And why should Mariah care? She just easily beat the shit out of Toni.

Very frustrating. An own goal for sure.

As someone who was initially hesitant to it they'd won me over but yeah that's a really disappointing way to do the reveal. Too soon and done in such a nonsense way. Definitely fumbled that.

It was a weird way of doing it, for sure, but I was still thrilled to have Timeless Toni back. She’s back!

Decent episode of Collision all round. Good wins for Joe and Okada (have they ever had a match?), good Harley Cameron content, good if brief main event with Takeshita and Shibata.

Hounds of Hell vs Gates of Agony was a lot of fun too. I’m hoping they go with Hounds vs Hurt Syndicate for the tag belts on the Australia show - you’d think they’ll try to get all the Aussies on that card somewhere and that makes the most sense for Buddy.

I'm usually easily pleased by Collision, but I thought that was a rubbish episode.

Was there travel issues or something? No Omega, Osprey, Mox, etc. 

Toni segment was shit until the end.

Of all the routes they could have gone with the Toni Storm interaction with Mariah May - they chose that? Honestly one of the most disappointing, rushed things I've seen for ages. Just when I start to take notice of AEW again outside of their PPVs, they do something like this and that appalling Jarrett / MJF thing a couple of weeks ago and I just don't care again. What a load of shit.

It’s interesting, all the people I know that watch and have discussed Collision thought it was a really strong episode of Collision and most of them just thought the Toni Storm thing was fine. Interesting how different the view is in here.
