Their stuff was quite infectious but my best memory of them will be driving down Northmoor Road, Longsight at 5mph in my mate's Daihatsu 4 Track with obnoxiously tacky sunglasses on. Windows down blasting Macho Man on a blazing hot day. We'd also do similar over Ancoats. Every year when they would send out the “who do you want to see at next years festival” I’d always put Village Peolple. Give them 20minutes in the middle of the afternoon sun and just have them play In The Navy, Macho Man, Go West and YMCA and people would’ve had a great time. Quote
