My mum brought her annual calender game again with Phil Hucknall.

I even got a non gendered Christmas card write up without having to have an annoying conversation about it! 

Job's a good'un, other than the weird cultural osmosis of heaviness I'm still coded to get a hit with today. I'll be thankful to go back to regularly scheduled programming.

My girlfriend is gone home to her folks in Cork til 27th, so I had far too many pints from 3pm onwards yesterday and woke up this morning feeling very rough. Also had no milk for tae, so stumbled down to the local shop who kindly open til midday to procure some to help stem me hangover. On the way back an armed police jeep skidded to a stop with sirens blaring in front of me and I nearly shat myself. Was one of my old school pals driving it thankfully, so I got a spin home and we siren'd' a few of the young kids who were out and about waving at us as we drove by. Great craic! Now off to the sisters for dinner and the inevitable argument between her fella and my Da over anything from football or immigration to the quality of the staining job on her floors the boyfriend did.

I wasn't allowed to put The Italian Job on because my mum hates Michael Caine apparently. Something I'd forgotten or this is a new hatred. It's Carry On Matron instead.

Having Mexican for Christmas dinner because I'm alone, my Mrs isn't here so Mexican it is!! Merry Christmas to you lot.

Cooked Christmas lunch for 7 for the first time ever. Luckily I did a lot of the hard work yesterday (including cooking the turkey and making the gravy) so it wasn't too much hassle. Had a mini keg of 3.8% beer from Track to keep my going while I cooked, but now that is all done, I'm onto the 12% stouts. That day has been surprisingly smooth sailing. Give it half an hour until I'm watching live performances on YouTube.

Got myself an axe from my mother-in-law.
