It's Saturday Night Main Event this weekend, and they seem to be doubling down on the nostalgia.

Anyone else looking forward to the show? They do these navel-gazing, nostalgia fests very well.

Plus, Kevin Owens might win a winged eagle title which is exciting.

Genuinely excited for it. Not only does the retro theme appeal hugely to me but they've went out of their way to promote it, and promote a hell of a main event for it.

Cody is the best in the business. Him with the winged eagle belt? phwoar.

Well up for the return of SNME this weekend, the only thing that could spoil it is if the Orange Goblin shows up (and I don’t mean the president-elect) but even then that would turn me back into a giddy kid

If the tease is correct then that’s going to be a thing of beauty and another story Cody’s finished, even if it’s just for one night, add a hopefully motivated Ventura on commentary and all that would be missing is the much missed Fink on ring announcing

He really does look the business with that title. I mean they've made worse champions, for worse reasons. I like Cody, but I would love to see Kevin to hold 'the' title.

I must say that the promo I saw, also using the old SNME theme, was class!

Its weird to have nostalgia for something that was broadcast before I started watching wrestling, but there’s something very iconic about Saturday Night’s Main Event and I’ve always thought it was a brilliant name for a show.

SNME made more wrestling fans in the US than any Wrestlemania as it was on free to air TV, a major station albeit usually a little late at night.

I assume that WWE are just jettisoning the mid 2000’s attempted revival and pretending it never happened?
