Wrestlemania matches include Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton (after it’s revealed Orton cost Cody on purpose) and Sami Zayn winning the WWE Title after beating his arch nemesis Kevin Owens.

That’s the bottom line, because I’m slowly winding up my window!

The Rock only can't be there when things are going well. Depends how many shit films he brings out in the next few months. Less Moanas and more Red Ones and he'll be in trunks sooner than you can smell what he's cooking.

Only watched the main event and the aftermath but that was a load of fun, and a cracking match.

Did feature one of my most hated things though and thats non champs/losers raising belts or walking off with it. Properly pathetic behaviour, so befitting of a heel which is exactly what they want! I'm a mark.

Did miss a huge trick though by not having a "watch his knee you idiot" callback when being loaded into the ambulance.

So glad to hear Jesse though, a little step off at times but the old lad's probably had a LOT of marijuana in the Baja over the past years. That voice is still on point.

That was a properly fun event. 2 hours was the right amount of time for nothing to drag but nothing to feel rushed. Did have to do a YouTube premium trial and cancel it straight away to avoid the ads though. 2 in the first 4 minutes, plus the NB ad breaks. 

 

Sami and Drew was solid but unspectacular. Right result in the women's US Title tournament. Chelsea has had a great year and deserves the accolade. Iyo Sky seemed a little off step and that threw the whole match off a bit. Seemingly breaking Liv's nose and botching a top rope move that Lib covered really well. Both men's title matches were absolute crackers. Preferred the triple threat but that was probably because I was less emotionally invested. Loved how during the match Kevin was essentially playing the baby face role, getting a 5 count with no ref, being hit with the chair. Just adds fuel to his arguments. Seeing him proclaim himself as champion and carrying the winged eagle belt seems to be where they're going and I'm here for it.

I reckon if I hadn’t watched the show, and just woke up to that image on social media, I’d have probably spunked myself inside out.

Good show. Excellent angle afterwards. If Kevin couldn’t actually win the belt, then this was the next best thing. I hope he carries that Winged Eagle belt for a while now, leading to a Unification Ladder match or something.

Fascinating watching them play with the dynamics though. Cody did cheat. Kevin does have tonnes of legitimate complaints about bad officiating. There was a very noticeable, “You Deserve It,” chant after Cody (deservedly) got Piledrove. It speaks to how hot everything is and how confident they are going forward that they’re even willing to tease a Cody heel turn.

But yeah. Let the record book show that Cody left on a stretcher and Kevin left with the belt. That’s the real quiz. Congratulations to the new WWE Winged Eagle Champion, Kevin Owens.
