From Max's sandwich book. Braised and shredded ham hock, fried egg, julienne fries and piccalilli mayonnaise.

This is an unbelievable effort. Post of the year material.

An added fried egg would also put it right into #eatclean territory.

True, but then you're in knife and fork territory as a madame is much harder to eat than a monsieur.

Had two good sammiches recently.

Had some Turkish sausages left over from making jambalaya, so chopped them up, fried them with onions, garlic, bit of paprika, some dried oregano, then scrambled in some eggs, stuck the mixture into a ciabatta with some chopped cherry tomatoes. Very flavoursome.

Had this today. Tuna salad - tuna, chopped hard-boiled egg, chopped raw onion, chopped celery, mayo, salt, pepper, a little garlic paste, fresh chopped tarragon and thyme from the garden, a little paprika, stuck in a toasted Metro roll from Aldi. Also tasty, though a mix of lots of subtle flavours rather than packing a flavour punch.

The guys and girls in the work canteen have outdone themselves again.

The only downside was that I then had a 2 hour meeting and despite washing my hands 5 times they stunk of red onion and I needed a fart the whole time. 10/10

That sounds and looks wonderful. Pics next time please Lion-san.

I watch a lot of the Abroad In Japan videos, and the ones where he buys all the stuff from places like 7/11 are the best as they seem to sell things like cream sandwiches.

Just a load of cream between bread. That'll do nicely.

That would be the fruit sandos, there’s an Asian supermarket that opened at the back of my work a couple of months ago that’s recently got in the strawberry and mango ones and they look immense

It's an abbreviation - the word is actually "sando'ichi". "Katsu" is also an abbreviation of "katsuretsu" - their transliteration of "cutlet".
