Paid Members Dead Mike Posted April 1, 2025 Paid Members Posted April 1, 2025 (edited) Bought this in lidl out of curiosity. Wasn't amazing tbh. Tasted better than it smelled, but that doesn't mean much as it absolutely hummed. Edited April 1, 2025 by Dead Mike Quote

I've liked this as I like you mate, and I love sarnies and you've made a sarnie but you should be utterly ashamed of yourself. Quote
Members SuperBacon Posted April 2, 2025 Author Members Posted April 2, 2025 BLT at lunch today from Hoxton Bakehouse (think they're just in Hampshire, recommended if you're ever near one) as they had no Ruben's left Pricey, but it was packed with Bacon. Solid 8/10 Quote

Members SuperBacon Posted April 7, 2025 Author Members Posted April 7, 2025 An uneven cut and I think they forgot the rocket, but this was absolutely handsome. I'd have had another one if I didn't have a meeting straight after lunch. Yes the facilities management logo does look like what you think it does. We all say it Quote
Paid Members Carbomb Posted April 12, 2025 Paid Members Posted April 12, 2025 Just had the Mediterranean Club sandwich at La Bottega in Bowes Park/Bounds Green: Tasted as good as it looked. Wolfed it down. Could've done with just a touch of salt and pepper, but it was still delicious. Quote

Bowes Park is on the "upper side" of that there North London too - if you wanted a stereotypical representation of "North London leafy left liberal idyll", it's there. Not quite as posh as Highgate, but not as grimy as Finsbury Park. Quote
Paid Members mim731 Posted April 13, 2025 Paid Members Posted April 13, 2025 Shared this mammoth sandwich with my wife in Hastings last weekend at a placed called Monellis. Fiordilatte Mozzarella, Fresh Basil and Capocollo Di Martina served on fresh Sourdough made in the restaurant. It was £20, which seems very, very pricey but the ingredients were all incredible and the bread was basically a whole loaf, and I'd have struggled to eat the whole thing on my own. Legitimately one of the best things I've ever eaten. Quote
Mr_Danger Posted April 13, 2025 Posted April 13, 2025 £20 seems an incredible price to pay for a butty but for some reason £20 for a pizza which is just a flat sandwich with melted cheese on it is reasonable. I reckon I could go £20 if the word of mouth was good enough but as it is I struggle to justify the fiver a Subway costs. Quote
