That has to be the only instance of two wrestlers being on opposing teams three years in a row, right? Roma and Zhukov if you count dark matches? Quote

Beat the company's top star for it following a shady finish, drop it straight back to the top star within a matter of days on the next televised show. Don't get near it again for years. Another coincidence is (though not Takers first reign) each has the distinction of losing the title to Steve Austin on the Raw after King of the Ring, in 98 and 99. Quote

Another - Hulk Hogan and Shawn Michaels both returned to WWE in 2002 after years long absences, both as members of the nWo, both dethroning Triple H to have a single World title reign lasting a month. And on Hulk Hogan, this is more for the 'things that don't seem like they should be true' files (so someone will probably point out I've got it wrong); following WrestleMania III, Hulk never again successfully defended the WWF title on WWF PPV. On the quirks front, I like how the two biggest stars of the two biggest eras each, all spent a section of their careers with similarly related aspects to monikers; Boulder, Stone, Rock, Rock. It was in fact just 21 days in both cases. Quote
Paid Members Supremo Posted October 29, 2024 Paid Members Posted October 29, 2024 Seems as good a thread as any for this. As a thirty-nine year old man, in the year of Bryan Danielson, 2024. It was only today that I realised, “Adam Bomb,” was a pun on, “Atom Bomb.” Thirty years, that took me. Long term storytelling. Quote

Just to blow your mind even more, his finisher was the Adam Smasher Quote
IronSheik Posted October 29, 2024 Author Posted October 29, 2024 I was always a mark for the Rick Rude and Lex Luger appearing on Raw and Nitro on the same night thing. Exciting times so it was. Also the coincidence of Scott Hall and Kevin Nash having contract expiries a week or so apart, and both happening to be top guys in New York, close friends and former WCW guys made for the greatest angle in wrestling history. As a kid, took me years to realise that Paul Bearer wasn't just a cool name but the person who carries the coffin at at a funeral (pallbearer). Quote

If you mean the night Luger shockingly strolled out on the first Nitro, Raw didn’t even air that week so no, Lex wasn’t on it. Quote

And yeah yeah Impact Players etc etc. X-Factor over that team all day. Quote

Justin doesn't even have any "Good In Japan" allure about him. He has been shit everywhere, even here as the Nuffink and Like It podcast reminded me this morning. Quote
Version1.0 Posted October 31, 2024 Posted October 31, 2024 (edited) I liked the Impact Players but Credible was exposed as ECW Champion, especially when he main evented Hardcore Heaven 2000 against Lance Storm and killed the crowd dead in a 12-minute snoozefest.
