Members SuperBacon Posted January 9, 2025 Author Members Posted January 9, 2025 Watched the Sunny/Abbott Elementary episode, which was really good. Never seen the show (probably will watch it at some point) but it was nice to see the gang each have their own storyline and it play well to their character traits. Small spoiler but avoid if you don't want to know anything about the episode obvs but seeing Spoiler Charlie learn to read was absolutely lovely Quote

It’s a decent family friendly show you can just chill out to. Definitely get on it. Looking forward to the crossover, and then the other crossover at Paddy’s. Quote
Members SuperBacon Posted February 1, 2025 Author Members Posted February 1, 2025 According to Rob McElhenny series 17 will premiere in June with the Sunny perspective of the Abbott Elemetary episode. Been making my way through it AGAIN, and watching the pod along with the episodes and I urge everyone again to watch them as they're fantastic. There is an episode where they discuss an incident in an airport in France where they have to call up Kaitlin to get her side of the story which is brilliant. The thing that comes out of these is just how effortlessly funny Charlie Day is. Quote
Members SuperBacon Posted July 2, 2025 Author Members Posted July 2, 2025 Some photos of the gang at the series 17 premiere, comes out on the 9th July. Danny is just the best person ever isn't he? There was also a 20th anniversary panel with them all, and as soon as I find the whole event I'll shout about it for all the other IDIOTS and SAVAGES that love Sunny as much as I do. Quote
Paid Members SpiritOfTheForest Posted July 2, 2025 Paid Members Posted July 2, 2025 I haven't watched since Season 12 but it's mental to me seeing Dennis with a beard and Mac without! Quote

Glenn usually has a beard or thick stubble outside of the show. Forgot about this, Rob McElhenney wants to change his name to Rob Mac. Pointless when everyone knows Macs real name is (slight spoiler if you haven't seen up to series 7) Spoiler Ronald McDonald Also didn't post this at the time, but this was a fun watch. Quote
Paid Members LaGoosh Posted July 2, 2025 Paid Members Posted July 2, 2025 (edited) I wish we could find a way to get Rob away from Ryan Reynolds. Reynold's influence on him is nothing but bad, in my book. As for the new season. it is what it is. I think the show is way past its heyday and hasn't been good for quite a few years. Everything feels like either a re-tread or almost parody now. However at the same time I just love the gang so much and still enjoy spending time with them even if it isn't anywhere near what it was. deathrey Posted July 2, 2025 Posted July 2, 2025 Rob is starting to look a little like a plastic Hollywood type. Why are his trousers basically in his armpits?! Quote

Agree with this, but even within the later seasons, there’s at least one episode that can stand with the glory years. - Mac and Dennis move to the suburbs - The gang goes to a water park - Time’s up for the gang - Dee day All absolute belters in very meh seasons. Add to that from last series, Dennis Takes A Mental Health Day, which when you find out it was inspired by a real life happening of Glenn's, makes it even better. Honestly I can't say this enough, if you love the show, please please watch the podcasts as well. They add so much. Quote
Paid Members TheBurningRed Posted July 2, 2025 Paid Members Posted July 2, 2025 Season 11 has that great episode where Dennis kidnaps/frightens people with the mobile vehicle. Followed by The Gang Goes to Hell two parter. Season 12 had two great back to back episodes. Hero or Hate Crime? and PTSDee. Those are the start of the show dropping off a bit but there was still quality. With the ones also mentioned by Wretch. Quote
