Agree with this, but even within the later seasons, there’s at least one episode that can stand with the glory years.

- Mac and Dennis move to the suburbs

- The gang goes to a water park

- Time’s up for the gang

- Dee day

All absolute belters in very meh seasons.

I think of those as still being glory years. The water park episode is one of my very favourites. I think season 14 is probably my drop off point.

Great New York Times magazine feature here: https://archive.is/cn9pC

Also seen a few very positive reviews of the new series! Excited to see what they've done.

Yeah, that was a decent read. I'm excited for new Sunny, always am. It hasn't been as consistently good as it was during its peak, but there are still the occasional flashes of brilliance and it's good for a laugh. Even at its weakest, it's still one of the funniest things on TV.

I've enjoyed the interviews and profiles and am excited to watch the first two episodes later. I did find it interesting that Charlie openly said he doesn't like doing the pop culture stuff like the Abbott Elementary and Golden Bachelor episodes and openly fought Rob Mac (ugh) on it before they decided to do them.

There was also a 20th anniversary panel with them all, and as soon as I find the whole event I'll shout about it for all the other IDIOTS and SAVAGES that love Sunny as much as I do

Can I offer you 50 minutes of the gang in this trying time?

God I love them all.

Didn’t think much of the first episode :( Never watched Abbott Elementary, so anything based around their character traits was lost on me. Felt like a bit of a waste when they only do 8 episodes a season

Yeah, I skipped the Abbott crossover as I haven't seen the Abbott episode featuring The Gang and have no intention to. Frank is in a Coma was good old-fashioned Sunny, though, and gives me hope for the season. I'm looking forward to Mac & Dennis Become EMTs as that's a tremendous premise for an episode.

I will say @TibBo and @SaitoRyo that you really don't need to see the Abbott Elementary episode to enjoy the Sunny one. I'd never seen the show (but did watch the Abbott one) and thought it was great.

Episode 2 of the new series is unbelievably funny, it just felt like classic sunny to me. I can't remember the last time I laughed that loud at something I was watching alone.

Just so good. Kaitlin especially was fantastic.

Even Mac felt more like his old self.

Dennis is always the best though, I rewatched quite a bit of old sunny I hadn't seen for a while recently this was the line that creased me up more than anything, amazing scene.

Turn the volume up when Charlie pulls Brian LeFevre’s finger out of the bag, and you can hear Dennis orgasming.

God, I love that man.

Mac and Dennis become EMTSs is such fun. The sort of manic, energetic episode where the whole gang is on some mental mission and it all comes together.

Glenn and Rob especially are brilliant.
