I think of those as still being glory years. The water park episode is one of my very favourites. I think season 14 is probably my drop off point. Edited July 2, 2025 by LaGoosh Quote

Excited to see what they've done. Yeah, that was a decent read. I'm excited for new Sunny, always am. It hasn't been as consistently good as it was during its peak, but there are still the occasional flashes of brilliance and it's good for a laugh. Even at its weakest, it's still one of the funniest things on TV. Quote
Members SuperBacon Posted July 9, 2025 Author Members Posted July 9, 2025 Another lovely interview, this time with Danny and Charlie. https://www.latimes.com/entertainment-arts/tv/story/2025-07-09/danny-devito-charlie-day-its-always-sunny-in-philadelphia Quote
SaitoRyo Posted July 10, 2025 Posted July 10, 2025 I've enjoyed the interviews and profiles and am excited to watch the first two episodes later. I did find it interesting that Charlie openly said he doesn't like doing the pop culture stuff like the Abbott Elementary and Golden Bachelor episodes and openly fought Rob Mac (ugh) on it before they decided to do them. Members SuperBacon Posted July 10, 2025 Author Members Posted July 10, 2025 I caved and watched the first episode of the new series and thought it was excellent. I enjoyed that we got to see the Abbott Elementary stuff from both angles. Here if you IDIOTS! and SAVAGES! can't wait. Spoiler https://ww1.m4uhd.to/watch-itacbt-its-always-sunny-in-philadelphia-2005.html He is also listed as Rob Mac, so I guess he did change his name after all. Quote

God I love them all. Quote
TibBo Posted July 12, 2025 Posted July 12, 2025 Didn’t think much of the first episode Never watched Abbott Elementary, so anything based around their character traits was lost on me. Felt like a bit of a waste when they only do 8 episodes a season Quote

Frank is in a Coma was good old-fashioned Sunny, though, and gives me hope for the season. I'm looking forward to Mac & Dennis Become EMTs as that's a tremendous premise for an episode. Quote
Paid Members Bellenda Carlisle Posted July 16, 2025 Paid Members Posted July 16, 2025 Episode 2 of the new series is unbelievably funny, it just felt like classic sunny to me. I can't remember the last time I laughed that loud at something I was watching alone. Quote

I will say @TibBo and @SaitoRyo that you really don't need to see the Abbott Elementary episode to enjoy the Sunny one. I'd never seen the show (but did watch the Abbott one) and thought it was great. 5 minutes ago, Bellenda Carlisle said: Episode 2 of the new series is unbelievably funny, it just felt like classic sunny to me. Dennis is always the best though, I rewatched quite a bit of old sunny I hadn't seen for a while recently this was the line that creased me up more than anything, amazing scene. Quote

Members SuperBacon Posted July 17, 2025 Author Members Posted July 17, 2025 Mac and Dennis become EMTSs is such fun. The sort of manic, energetic episode where the whole gang is on some mental mission and it all comes together. Glenn and Rob especially are brilliant. Quote
