Either way, he's played into their hands and I'm not sure he cares. On a day like that it should be leading the headlines, not some bloke on Twitter being wilfully misquoted by the BBC to follow the Mails lead. Then to follow that up with the big meeting in France by making the main story "bloke gets dropped by BBC for something said on Twitter" and then everything that has followed which will inevitably be the lead story today. It's almost like the BBC have thrown up the smokescreen deliberately to protect the government from scrutiny. Even if we assume their intentions were honest they've really fucked up on this one. The BBC is currently run like the Tory party, they dig themselves a hole and fall in without realising it’s a possibility too. And fair play from the solidarity from Radio Wales closing for the night and playing a concert, and BBC Scotland having a short sport scene, and even the World Service dropped microphones this afternoon.
