Paid Members FLips Posted January 23, 2023 Paid Members Posted January 23, 2023 The Cena/Batista/Orton/Lesnar Rookie pack is quite something, though I'm not sure it's worth twice the price. Quote

Paid Members chokeout Posted January 23, 2023 Paid Members Posted January 23, 2023 Whats the MyFACTION card thing?. I'm assuming its just a way to cram microtransactions in and mirror FIFA? does it actually affect the game in any way? Quote
CAREBEAR LUVVA Posted January 23, 2023 Posted January 23, 2023 It's a separate game mode where you collect cards which represent the roster that's available to you in that mode, with each card defining the stats of each particular wrestler. In theory, better cards mean better / stronger wrestlers, but in practise there didn't seem to be too much of a difference between the various rarities of cards in 2K22. You can get new cards by playing the game, or you can use real money to buy randomised packs of cards, but there's no guarantee of getting whichever wrestler you might actually want. It's a "clever" way of adding hundreds of hours to the overall content, as it takes ages to upgrade your decks through normal play. Or if you want to be slightly more cynical about it (rightly so, in this case), it's a way of encouraging impatient players to stump up extra cash for what are pretty much loot boxes in all but name. Merzbow Posted January 23, 2023 Posted January 23, 2023 An updated GM Mode is the one interesting thing for me there, last year's had potential but it was far too simple and lacking even basic things. Quote
Awards Moderator Onyx2 Posted January 23, 2023 Awards Moderator Posted January 23, 2023 Christ that is a pocket squeezing post. So brazenly a cash grab! Absolute bollocks. Still recycling 24 year old assets as well I assume. Not a single mention of gameplay there. Quote
Vamp Posted January 23, 2023 Posted January 23, 2023 To be fair the last edition focused on gameplay changes. War Games means I'll give it a go at some point. The only mode I'm interested in long term is the universe mode and they've not done anything to that in years and I'm not convinced they will now. Quote
Merzbow Posted January 23, 2023 Posted January 23, 2023 The gameplay changes were just rejigging the controls without any kind of substantial attempt to upgrade or change an engine that's still being ran on the skeleton of a PS2 game. Quote
Simpo Posted January 23, 2023 Posted January 23, 2023 WWE 2k22 was recently added to the game catalogue for ps plus subscribers at the 'extra' tier, so I've been playing that. Not bad at all, but it's the first wrestling game I've played for absolutely ages, so I'm enjoying it purely for that reason as much as any. Quote
Paid Members Your Fight Site Posted January 24, 2023 Author Paid Members Posted January 24, 2023 I downloaded 2K22 a little while back, either when it was in a sale or the fee monthly game. I don’t know what they’ve done with the camera angle/position but I hate it. Quote
Paid Members Accident Prone Posted January 24, 2023 Paid Members Posted January 24, 2023 I'm never going back until they remove that shite game mechanic where your wrestler automatically rolls to the outside after taking a few moves in multi-man matches. I don't care how true it is to the WWE formula, it's an awful addition and another step into weird McMahon realism. Quote
DavidB6937 Posted July 1, 2023 Posted July 1, 2023 I could only find this one instead of anything 2K23 related so I'll post it here. My O2 priority app has the following: Get a locker code for a unique John Cena Mattel Action Figure in game character. Might be of some interest to someone if you play the game and youre on O2. Or if you want my code just gimme a shout. Quote
