Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted October 10, 2021 Author Paid Members Share Posted October 10, 2021 No surprise to hear Kellerman was chatting shite. Heโs always been fucking awful.ย Probably the best fight of the trilogy that but Wilderโs probably never gonna be the same. That was just brutal to watch. A drawn out beating then that knockout. It was the perfect emphatic and absolutely final finish for Tyson to end what seemed like a never ending saga with Wilder.ย
Paid Members Egg Shen Posted October 10, 2021 Paid Members Share Posted October 10, 2021 (edited) That got quite uncomfortable, it looked like Wilder was dying on his feet from around round 6 onwards. A painful, prolonged beating. Ive never seen a fighter look so tired in a fight. It was dramatic. Thought Wilder started well and did well to come back from the 3rd round knockdown and score two of his own. Its just a bad matchup for Wilder, when it becomes gruelling and a war of attrition, Fury is too big for him to compete with. Too much much weight, too much pressure, too much savvy. Put the rivalry to bed. Brilliant. ย Edited October 10, 2021 by Egg Shen

I get the moral victory bit. To survive as long as he did whilst looking close to death is pretty comendable.
Keith Houchen
I think Kellerman was also banging on about how in the first fight, the counts to Fury were slow. Have a word, mate.ย
Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted October 10, 2021 Author Paid Members Share Posted October 10, 2021 The Yanks seem to love him as well for some reason. Paid Members ColinBollocks Posted October 10, 2021 Paid Members Share Posted October 10, 2021 Like Stephen A, he's probably just trying to get some controversy going so they can spend forever talking about it on ESPN etc. It's garbage but it keeps him in the job. Teddy Atlas is the only one there worth a listen. Fury was saying after the fight he's had a nightmare of a training camp but wouldn't go into detail. Only discussing he's not seen his family much in 6 months and has another kid on the way.

When anyone with any sense for his well being could see he was done.ย ย Both Max Kellerman and Stephen A Smith were on a ESPN show called First Take. Where they give their opinions on the biggest subjects in US Sports everyday. Its all "hot take" bullshit all of the time. Max has left it I believe or been kicked out but he is as bad as Stephen A.ย
David
It wasn't a hard fight to predict, and it went down as expected. Wilder had one tool in his bag, the ~BIG RIGHT~ that everyone shits themselves from. Even when he connected with Fury, Tyson had a look on his face when he was on the canvas of a man who knew he'd waded in a little too carelessly and got caught. The first was a good shot that obviously dizzied Tyson up a bit, but he never looked in real danger. Wilder got hammered, and it started to look pretty concerning near the end. We all know his corner was never throwing the towel in, and that former coach Breland was somewhere reacting like... Honestly, if they'd pulled him out a few rounds sooner they could have saved him such a beating and even perhaps added another few years to his career. As it is, that stoppage was fucking brutal and fighters are rarely the same after something like that. It seems Dillian whyte is next for Fury if Whyte gets past Otto Wallin, which isn't guaranteed after seeing the trouble big Otto gave Fury a while back, but even so I don't see whyte having much for Fury. David
The scorecards, for anyone interested: It always astounds me when we get a world title fight in the US, with three American judges. Insanity.ย It also astounds me that in 2021 we're still recording this shit using pen and paper.ย

There's an official outside the ring who begins the count and who maintains the count when the referee is distracted so it wasn't slow.
