Vamp Posted December 23, 2020 Posted December 23, 2020 British Wrestler: Jetta I think Jetta has secretly been one of the best British wrestlers for a couple of years now. She's seemingly capable of any style of match and wrestles exactly as she needs to depending on her place on the card. This year I'm nominating her based purely on a promo she cut for a career vs title match that ultimately didn't end up happening. She is a genuinely funny comedy character but the promo was a great demonstration of just how much sympathy she can draw from an audience. I've never cared about an outcome of a match as much as I cared about that one. I'm not sure that match will happen now. But I know that if it did, and I could be there live, then for however long it lasted, everything else would fade away. And that, to me, is wrestling at its best.

Moderators Astro Hollywood Posted December 24, 2020 Moderators Posted December 24, 2020 (edited) Best British Wrestler - Danny Boy Johnson. For a good decade, the unsung hero of genuinely hilarious internet content, and now he's putting that humour into a brilliant wrestling character. Unmatched in consistently great social media stuff this year too, pumping out great videos and posts all through Lockdown and beyond, so put him down for Best Use of Social Media too. Awooga! That match being from this year has absolutely blew my mind. Feels like a lifetime ago. Agreed though - what a belter. Why the fuck haven't they flew Tyler Bate over to appear on NXT every Wednesday? Imagine having a talent like that on your roster, in a ratings war, and yet thinking, "we'll do another Dexter Lumis skit."
