The results went into the opening post on Sunday night, and the table was updated straight afterwards. In a low-scoring round, nobody made it into double figures, but Rory was the best performer and the only participant with more than one exact score. Stinky Dad has also now moved into second spot, whilst TildeGuy has once again overtaken ultimo to move two points off the foot of the standings.

Wins for Newcastle, Saints, Leicester and Juve all proved fruitful, but reverses for Chelsea and Arsenal turned out to be harder to foresee. Spurs and Liverpool both dropping points either side of the Thames didn't help much, whilst a stalemate at Old Trafford and a heavy loss on the road for Fiorentina ended up as more of a mixed bag at best.

A new card, including the last D2D of 2020, will be up in the original post soon.

On 12/19/2020 at 2:56 PM, Shy Dad said:

I need to set reminders

If you'd posted 5 minutes later, you'd only have missed one match! Doesn't look as if start times are going back to normal anytime soon though, so you're probably in the clear for the rest of the season. One word of warning though: the next 3 rounds will be mostly games with traditional kick-offs, and the Old Firm derby will probably be featured despite being brought forward to lunchtime. D2Ds, including both of yours, will return in Week 20.

Speaking of which, Briefcase got his bet right and exactly half of the other participants wrongly disagreed with him. That didn't net him too much of a bonanza, but it was enough to put him clearly inside the top 4 and onto the edge of title contention. Stinky Dad and ultimo would otherwise have been joint top scorers and the only other people into double figures. The former moves into one point of the lead, whilst the latter pushes TildeGuy back to the bottom of the table

Away from Portugal, a mad six-goal thriller in Glasgow (followed by the inevitable outcome on penalties) and a rare reverse for Feyenoord both ended up as duds, although a couple of players did at least foresee that the side from Rotterdam wouldn't win. Things went a bit better in England with widely expected victories for the two Manchester giants alongside two score draws between four underachieving strugglers. A bad start at The Hawthorns for Big Sam and another reverse for Mikel Arteta's Gunners also proved fruitful, but the wheels coming off Mourinho's Tottenham in the face of more excellent Leicester way form turned out to be tougher to guess beforehand.

A set of 20 will be up in the initial post shortly. Yes, twenty. Because it's Christmas. 🎅:xmas:
