@Supremo I think you’re being a bit harsh there. I mean who else would have the authority to make an impromptu match? Raw could probably do with a General Manager or authority figure who would be able to make such decisions rather than making the CCO do it.

Great to see Regal now in the Ron Simmons position of being rolled out to shout out a catchphrase and put back into hibernation. I’m with @RedTwoster though, hate the filler activity of a Wargames match where there’s little of note until the last man enters. At least with the EC people can get eliminated at anytime.

Think they are missing a huge trick if they don't add Dom to the Cena tournament and have him win his belt back and retire Cena at SNME.

Don't waste this opportunity on Gunther.

They seem to be proper loading the SNME card which is a shame. It's a 2 hour show that with adverts will end up being about 1hr20 mins, having the NXT "exhibition matches" means we're probably only going to get about half hour of Cena.

The whole show should be dedicted to him, video packages, promos, his match, farewell promo etc. He's the man, deserves all the flowers but feel its going to be disappointing,  especially if its against bloody Gunther as well. What a waste.

I'm not 100% on this, but since SNME is no longer on NBC's main channel and is instead exclusively on Peacock, I think the adverts might be slightly more cut down this time compared to the first one with Cody/KO.

I honestly believe you could watch the 1992 War Games having never seen WCW before that and not be aware of the rivalry or set up for it and you’d still be drawn in by the heat and intensity that match delivers.

A match I could watch over and over again.

One of the problems with it these days is that after so long is the IWC is so cynical and ‘clued up’ so we all know the heel team advantage is how it should play out but it’s predictable and if you have a face team advantage it’s illogical and doesn’t have the same pull.

Rivalries aren’t built up in the same way as they were either so that hampers the ability to make it a spectacle that you simply had to see to find out how it would conclude.

I think anyone expecting anyone other than Joe Hendry, Jeff Hardy or Dolph Ziggler is setting themselves up for a huge disappointment. I’d love to be wrong, but I doubt it.

Reports suggesting Cena might team with Punk and Cody in War Games. I’d love to see that. The Super Best Friends!

I’d have him host an Intercontinental Title Open Challenge on Raw, accepted by CM Punk. Do Punk vs. Cena one last time in Madison Square Garden, erasing the Saudi Summer of Shite, it can end in a schmozz when The Vision run in, resulting in Cena joining team Beavis and Butthead at the pay per view.

Hmm, I'm wondering if we get a Dom/Cena rematch next week now.

Have the match announced beforehand, Cena opens the show, confronted by the Vision who want Cena on there team at SS, only for him to turn them down.

Main event, Cena vs Dom rematch, Vision come down and cost Cena the match and the title only for the super friends to make the save, Cena then announces that he will be on there team for War Games.

Gunther to retire Cena.

I reckon Gunther is a lock, and then they’ll do Gunther/Lesnar at Wrestlemania, with Gunther looking to forcibly retire Brock after taking out both Goldberg and Cena over the previous 12-months. I don’t want to see that, but I suspect that might be where we’re going with this.

Most exciting thing about Gunther being Cena’s final match is Gunther winning the Intercontinental Title, which he then defends against Sheamus at Wrestlemania. Connects all the dots. Fixes the timeline. Would probably be a Match of the year candidate, too.

Cancel all plans. Oba Femi enters the Cena Tournament, wins the Tournament with ease, squashes Cena in his final match, main events both nights of Wrestlemania, squashes Cody on Night One, squashes Punk on Night Two.

Feel like I've been waiting ages for them to do something with Oba. I'd love for them to push him solidly from the get go on the main roster but once he's under HHH's command.. I'm sure MVP would have concerns.
