TheScarlettChad Posted November 18, 2025 Posted November 18, 2025 Ziggler.....It should have been Hendry now. Gunther retiring Brock at Mania is my prediciton Quote
BarryOVega Posted November 18, 2025 Posted November 18, 2025 My main takeaway from the show was Heyman always wears nice shoes, shame they probably stink Quote
Paid Members Lorne Malvo Posted November 18, 2025 Paid Members Posted November 18, 2025 I do have to hand it to WWE now. After 15 years of fans booing all their top babyfaces out of the building, they've successfully managed to find an audience who will gladly eat up any old shit they trot out. This crowd popped big time for Dolph fucking Ziggler and yet another go of Reigns vs Lesnar. Mad. Quote
The King of Old School Posted November 18, 2025 Author Posted November 18, 2025 I'm not a huge fan of modern War Games anyway, but it's really diluted even more that they are in this weird phase where they have to have the men and women have the exact same match on the same show. Why not alternate it year on year? Which ever one doesn't have War Games could have the 5 on 5 elimination match. No show ever needs 2 of the same kind of match on one show, whether it's MITB, War Games or whatever. HITC was the worst a while back when they used to have 3 on the same show. Quote

On 10/10/2025 at 5:49 PM, Supremo said: I can’t shake the feeling that this year’s War Games is being built specifically around the inevitable staredown between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar. Paul Heyman probably already practising his SHOCKED face in the mirror, wanking himself silly. I predict a tough few months for us Roman Reigns Superfans. A trying time if you want to acknowledge your Tribal Chief. Oh, Hunter. You dull, boring, predictable knobhead. There aren’t enough Bret Hart eye rolls in the world. Worst part is that it was actually quite a hot, effective angle. The stuff where THE COPS turned up and got smashed through the guard rail was excellent, but all for more Brock vs. Roman?! In twenty twenty five? With the scummy, dark cloud that follows Lesnar and his hauntingly tired, cavernous eyes? No thanks. Plus, call me a cynical prick, but I refuse to believe it’s coincidence that every time AJ Lee appears, it’s on the same show as Brock Lesnar. At worst, I’m convinced there’s someone getting a kick out of humiliating Punk and AJ, and at best, I think it’s a crap attempt at distracting and diluting the obvious. Can’t be scumbags, can we? Look at that nice thing over there! Dolph fucking Ziggler, too. Can I just shock you? I like Joe Hendry. Despite what I said earlier. He’d have been the perfect mystery opponent if it was between him and ol’ Super Noodle Head. Good news though. For as crap as the John Cena Tournanent of Chumps has been, Gunther and his new jazzy dressing gown looked absolutely fantastic on this show, so all is forgiven. I’ll happily take Gunther vs. Cena, now. Plus, the World’s Most Ridiculous Man delivered once again. Cody Rhodes going for the fist bump with CM Punk and being left hanging when Punk didn’t notice was incredible. Some reports suggest Cody is still waiting, now! “…ummm…Punk?…erm…Phil?!” Planned or not, that now needs to become the catalyst for their feud that eventually leads to a Wrestlemania match. It was utterly perfect. Arn Anderson in Cody’s garden over Christmas, setting fire to his general waste and recycling bin, he’s so desperate for Cody to acknowledge Punk’s disrespect. Cody’s “CAPTAIN RHODES,” T-shirt hopefully also suggests they’re going to tease some animosity. This is the match. Now more than ever. The perfect Night Two headliner to cleanse your palette after Brock and Roman stink up the joint on Night One. I can’t wait!* *They’ll probably add Seth Rollins to Punk vs. Cody and make it a Triple Threat, but let me dream. Edited November 18, 2025 by Supremo Quote
Paid Members RedTwoster Posted November 18, 2025 Paid Members Posted November 18, 2025 (edited) I can only guess that the surprise entrants were a favour to Cena as they really are his real-life friends. He referenced them both in his ‘pipe bomb’ promo, and here they were in the tournament. There’s no way they couldn’t have secured better options than that if they’d wanted to. Out of who is left, Gunther is probably most inspiring uninspiring option to face Cena, although I’d personally prefer to see Sheamus win. The result would be obvious but hey, I like Sheamus. DavidB6937 Posted November 18, 2025 Posted November 18, 2025 Despite the fact I didn't like Gunther's music changing originally, it actually grew on me and I'm surprised they went back to the old one. Quote

I'd much prefer Gunther vs Sheamus at Mania for the IC. Not particularly bothered what Brock does, could see him vs Punk and Cody vs Reigns as the two title matches maybe. Quote

Not to talk myself into a White Hole, but if Seth is back in time I’m sticking with Cody vs Punk and Rollins vs Reigns. Sir, I’ll stake my reputation on it. If Lesnar wrestles, maybe they’ll do the Gunther match they lost two years ago. Quote

If he's back for Mania though, which is probably doubtful I just don't see it making sense in him facing Reigns at the minute. He will come back as a face and go against Breaker I imagine. Again though, who knows with this backwards company. Quote
Paid Members Supremo Posted November 24, 2025 Paid Members Posted November 24, 2025 Go home show for Survivor Series. War Games advantage matches rumoured. Roman Reigns opening the show. And yet, what am I most interested in watching? Sheamus’ punches, after Bret shat on them over the weekend! Quote

Its doesn’t of course, Bret’s always right Quote
Paid Members Supremo Posted November 24, 2025 Paid Members Posted November 24, 2025 Sheamus is injured, it seems. A new MYSTERY ENTRANT in the Cena Tournament. Considering the last two were Ryder and Ziggler, it’s truly a game of, “who do you miss the least from mid-2010 WWE?” I’ll go Jack Swagger. Quote

It’s already been taped so you can find out who it is here (link to wrestlinginc). I won’t post spoilers, but I will say that I genuinely think you’d enjoy the show more without the disappointment of just how underwhelming this is. Quote
