It just feels special and if anything outside of mania is going to give us big it's this. I'm not ashamed of being excited either because this company was the only thing to look forward to and believe in my entire life in foster care I had this. Being sectioned I had WWE and UFC which made me feel better and get let out of hospital which didn't seem possible. Let's go Glad you're around to enjoy it! Quote

Outside of the Rumble and Mania, I feel the same. Might actually have to stay up for this one. Cena, Rock and…urgh, Hogan all making an appearance. I hope Gunther chops Hogan into the stratosphere. Have Netflix showed anything live since the Tyson/Paul match? I understand it wasn’t the greatest of feeds. Edited January 6, 2025 by Dr. Alan Grant Quote

DavidB6937 Posted January 6, 2025 Posted January 6, 2025 Oh yeah that worked out so well for AEW and Ric Flair. Quote

They’re the biggest matches with all the names available. It also uses Rock in the most productive way, building on the amazing buzz he and Cody had last year. That big angle in the rain deserves a one-on-one pay-off and although it’s never been mentioned since, I want them to continue that storyline where Rock handed Cody something on the night after Wrestlemania. Best idea I’ve heard is that Rock handed him the number thirty, signifying Rock was putting himself in the Rumble and coming for Cody’s belt. I really want to see Cena challenge for the belt at his final Wrestlemania. If Rock does end up on the card, I don’t want it to be at the expense of that match. With this Wrestlemania being Cena’s last, I do wonder if they might try to maximise his value and have him wrestle both nights. If it really does end up being Cody/Rock, perhaps Cena ends up wrestling someone for the right to face Gunther on night 2 (Logan Paul, perhaps? He’s already signified that he’s after the title - or perhaps one final Punk/Cena match?) before the match takes place on night 2? Quote

If the episode doesn't start with Ric Flair parachuting out of the private jet with a crotch-chopping Paddington Bear, then what's even the point. Quote

Paid Members BomberPat Posted January 6, 2025 Paid Members Posted January 6, 2025 I hated it, tbh. Not a fan of using words like "face", "heel", "work" and "shoot" on an actual wrestling show, and I could do without hearing people talk about "The Story" for at least a few years after everybody was banging on about "FINISHING THE STORY" for two years. And, naturally, it's WWE trying to make "WWE" and "Wrestling" synonymous by starting out talking about "The Story of Wrestling", and ending with "The Story of WWE", tacitly implying that all of the non-WWE clips are part of their history too. That, and Triple H sounded knackered, and the script was a load of old Thesaurus-wanking bollocks. "That most American of institutions, television" - that'll come as a shock to John Logie Baird. METAL ON METAL Posted January 6, 2025 Posted January 6, 2025 This is supposedly the ring mat that is being used (it was tested prior to Smackdown on Friday): I fucking hate it. At least the Prime one was somewhat subtle and not a multitude of colours. Quote
