The King of Old School Posted December 24, 2024 Author Posted December 24, 2024 (edited) With all the talent and potential stories at there disposal for Mania next year, night 1 isn't going to be headlined by a 6 man tag match! Not disagreeing it would be a decent direction to go with everyone in it though. Would still prefer Owens vs Sami for the winged eagle though! Edited December 24, 2024 by The King of Old School Quote

People would have said the same about The Usos vs Owens/Zayn for the tag titles - if the build is good enough, they can headline with whatever they like; and with this (totally hypothetical match) being a Bloodline spin-off, it’s not at all unrealistic - especially if Owens, McIntyre and Reigns were to morph into a version of The Bloodline - dominating and destroying whatever show they’re on. The two-night format gives them the opportunity to headline with something non-traditional (I’d point to The KO Show alongside the tag match) Edited December 24, 2024 by RedTwoster Quote

I'm all for an Anarchy in the Arena style tear up between Rollins/McIntyre/Owens and Sami/Uso's, but absolutely zero chance it headlines when you've got Cody, Cena, Reigns and Punk all circling, needing matches of their own. Would seem to fit with the current direction of those 3 having a vendetta against the Bloodline. Why wait for Mania? Couldn't this headline a February PLE? Quote

The KO show featured the biggest star of the last 30 years, and the tag match featured the man who single handedly bought in the new boom period to the WWE and the culmination to his part of the best storyline for God knows how long. With Roman, Punk, Cody, Cena, Orton and potentially the Rock on board, plus Gunther and the runner up World Title, there's no way a 6 man involving those 6 headlines a night of Mania. As an opener to one of the nights or an arena style brawl in the middle of the show, absolutely it could work with how it's been building so far. I forgot about Cena, to be fair - his final ‘Mania match actually should headline one of the nights, and perhaps even close night 2. Edited December 24, 2024 by RedTwoster Quote

I think I’d rather Roman/Cena - we’ve obviously had it before, but never on a stage as grand as Wrestlemania, or when Roman had the megastar aura around him that he now has. I’m perfectly happy with Cody/Cena, although I’m bracing myself for a Gunther/Cena; which I don’t want to see unless they plan to have Gunther win. As much as I like Gunther, I want Cena’s final ‘Mania match to be against one of the bigger stars in the company. Edited December 24, 2024 by RedTwoster Quote
Mr Butternut Squash Posted December 24, 2024 Posted December 24, 2024 Some all star tags and trios matches featuring Punk/Roman/Cody/KO/Sami/New Bloodline etc. would fill out tv just nice before Mania. Quote
Captain SlackBladder Posted December 27, 2024 Posted December 27, 2024 I feel disappointed that there was a nice Christmas tree and gift set up on the ramp, and nobody brawled through it trashing it. Devastated is not the word. Quote
Paid Members Supremo Posted December 27, 2024 Paid Members Posted December 27, 2024 I liked Seth Rollins describing his match with CM Punk as, “the biggest fight in our sport. The biggest fight in this industry.” Is it though, Seth? Quote
