Paid Members tiger_rick Posted February 20 Paid Members Posted February 20 This came up as a news story on my FB feed earlier and the comments were absolutely the shit you'd expect from the knuckle-draggers who make up the wrestling fanbase. Apparently she's not attractive enough to be a victim of sexual abuse as well as the previous trashing of her character because she's dared to go public. Quote
RIDDUM_N_STYLE Posted February 20 Posted February 20 Haven’t watched it but absolutely credit and Grant for speaking publicly about it. The McMahon fanboys can absolutely do one, truth hurts, deal with it Quote

Snitsky's back acne Posted February 21 Posted February 21 I'm trying to pinpoint the exact moment Vince went from regular Vince to doddery old man Vince. I mean, there was no slow transition. He was just Vince and then we didnt see him for a bit and he became whatever that is in the footage above, I'm certain. Quote
Paid Members Carbomb Posted February 21 Paid Members Posted February 21 I think he's just ripped the Sun clip and posted it to his account, so the Sun shouldn't be getting any clicks. Quote

That's not really the point, is it? We shouldn't be giving any media by The Sun the oxygen of publicity. It's still promoting The Sun. Quote

But this place is pretty safely anti-Sun, so I figured no-one's going to search them out on seeing the watermark, like how people post screenshots from Twitter rather than links. At least, that made sense to me. Quote
FUM Posted February 21 Posted February 21 I think criticism for a watermark is taking cancel culture a bit to the extreme. Are we saying if The Sun had the exclusive video to a massively significant event in history (that’s not what I’m saying this is) then we can’t discuss it or watch on another media platform because of the watermark? We’ve avoided giving them clicks for the most part - that’s plenty but the video is definitely up for discussion. I can’t think anything but he was on his phone because he’s no reason to even be in that lane speeding when there’s a clear path in the other one. Had he found out Hogan had died yet when he crashed? RedTwoster Posted February 21 Posted February 21 (edited) I don’t want to be harsh on poor @Ralphy, who clearly isn’t being pro-Sun, but I totally get where @Devon Malcolm is coming from. The Sun is taking an increasingly transphobic stance to the point they’ve run multiple articles misgendering trans people including the doctor involved in the Sandie Peggie case, who I won’t name because lord knows she’s been through enough. It almost feels like there’s been a company-wide ruling on how to refer to trans people, maybe there has. If they’re the ones to break a major story it definitely becomes difficult, but I dunno, there’s still something that doesn’t sit right with me about it. A second hand post is still second hand unpleasantness to someone affected by what they do, I suppose. If it was Darren Grimes or Dan Wootton breaking that story would you still share it, even second hand? I’m not sure you would. I guess that’s how I feel about it. In this case, I’m not sure the news value outweighs the negatives. Again, I don’t think Ralphy deserves a hard time for that, though. It’s a bit subjective as to whether it’s worth doing or not. It was intended from me as a general catch-all for boycotting The Sun as opposed to cancelling the individual so apologies if you felt it was personally directed. Absolutely not the intention to say you were cancelling anyone. Edited February 21 by FUM Quote
