I think that’s a bit harsh. First of all I’d say he’s been pretty balanced on both AEW and WWE, although he was a known as a very pro AEW account for a long time, but that the very next tweet was about the BJ Witmore NDA situation.
 

Also engagement farming is the majority of wrestling accounts, big headlines or clickbaity content for views. He at least had some decency to quote the source which isn’t always the case. However, I’ll try and use better sources in future to stop derailment. I didn’t link the athletic article because it’s paywalled if you click on it. That said…
 

@Devon Malcolm this works for me on an iphone and may work on other phones/browsers, but if you can choose reader view before the page loads properly, it often bypasses the login and lets you read the article in full. It probably works 7/10, but it’s worth a go in case it works for you too.

I was using an iPhone and the article loaded for me without any jiggery pokery, so maybe there’s a wider bug that means the paywall doesn’t always block the story? Totally off-topic, but I’m kinda surprised no one has introduced ‘pay a few pence-per-article’ as a model yet, alongside a more traditional subscription. 

Unless it’s a journalist, I think it’s always better to quote a credible news source rather than Twitter. 

Either way, it’s a deeply unpleasant story just as anything involving allegations of this kind always is.

I think he's referencing the AEW Tribal account that Scorcher used to break the story.

I actually didn't think there was anything wrong in the AEW guys tweets, though. They weren't charitable takes, but I'm not sure they needed to be.

It’s not so much that - it’s hard to trust the accuracy of an account like that, and while I can’t obviously speak for the motivations of the account in question, I don’t like the fact there are accounts out there who positively delight in this kind of allegation; either because it gives them the chance to farm engagement or to take shots at whichever company they like least. I don’t think it’s worth indulging them.

Again, I get your point. But it was sourced and he literally called out AEW’s shitty legal practices in the next tweet. If you want to point out something in the tweet which was not in the article he referenced, I’d say fair enough, you have a good argument.
 

And there are lots of accounts linking to the articles making jokes about WWE which is what you disagree with, and I agree. But this wasn’t one of them so I’m not sure why it’s still bothering you this much.

Edited because we’re detracting from the main story here. I don’t think anything will happen, if it did it would be a big blow because the changes he has made have had a huge impact on how people have viewed the shows in a post Dunn era. I imagine if they do get rid, they will just have someone carry on the same style.
