They said that it really helps them with pre-sleep anxiety and they've found it really good to fall asleep to. So I want to put together a playlist of similar stuff on Spotify for them and was wondering if anybody could point me toward some recommendations or maybe a playlist around they've spotted. They couldn't really describe exactly what it was about Pastel Ghost they liked just that it has some "interesting, odd sounds" in it. If that helps! Quote

Some of the more ambient tracks off Boards Of Canada-Music Has The Right To Children would be apt (not that one that has the little girl saying "I looooove yoooouuuuu" over and over obviously) Just popping out but I'll have a think later as I can't remember off the top of my head what they are. Wildlife Analysis, Triangles & Rhombuses, Turquoise Hexagon Sun, Bocuma, Olson, Open The Light. These are the most ambient/atmospheric tracks without many beats to be honest, as the ones with beats might be a bit 'glitchy' for them if that makes sense. Could see if something like Telephasic Workshop might be good for her, but the beats a bit jerky to relax to. What an album. Forgot how much I loved it. Other suggestions, and they might not be quite right, but Music By Cavelight by Blockhead (one of my favourite producers) is nice, light, instrumental hip hop (very small amounts of vocals) and some Amon Tobin (but I haven't had time to revisit any of his stuff in a long time) Tommib by Squarepusher but thinking about it, I think that they would really enjoy the Pacific Notions weekly show on KEXP https://www.kexp.org/shows/pacific-notions/ Most of it is just classical soundscapes, instrumental, bleep bloop ambient electronica (amazing descriptions these) and very, very relaxing. Small amount of talking by the host, but even he has a relaxing voice, bit like ASMR, and I can massively recommend it as something that calms me down. Listening to the Pastel Ghost tracks, they also might enjoy Yaeji, who is fantastic. Try the tracks What We Drew and Spell and see how they get on. Hope some of this helps. Quote

You might dismiss your "bleep bloop ambient electronica" description but that's exactly the sort of thing I was particularly looking for - and also how I'd describe it tbh! We're a few months off Firestarter and Prodigy's subsequent explosion into being the cross over mega act still, but it's all here in gestation. I love live clips of bands between eras. Like 1996 WWF.
