Members SuperBacon Posted January 1, 2023 Members Posted January 1, 2023 Romford looks fun. What a fantastic t-shirt Todd is wearing as well. Quote
Paid Members PunkStep Posted January 1, 2023 Paid Members Posted January 1, 2023 Todd Edwards is superb. Incredible that recently, 18-20 years after his chopped-up garage tunes were filling the dancefloors, that he had perhaps his biggest hit (The Chant). Quote
Merzbow Posted January 5, 2023 Posted January 5, 2023 That Skrillex lad is back, was never my cuppa tea but this is pretty good and Flowdan is always a top choice for MC on this stuff. Quote
Paid Members PunkStep Posted January 5, 2023 Paid Members Posted January 5, 2023 Plus it's a colab with Fred Again, who has been churning out cracker after cracker for the past 2 years Quote

I still watch this all the time. Love his sampling of Instagram videos. Quote

Merzbow Posted January 5, 2023 Posted January 5, 2023 I think he's a bit shit.. but then his style is usually not what I like whatsoever. Even his song with Charli is one of my least favorites of hers. Quote

Actual Life Vol.1 is absolutely superb. It’s a masterclass in production. His episode of Tape Notes podcast phenomenal too. His production techniques are outstandingly simple yet effective way beyond their means. Like most of the vocals were recorded on his iPhone yet sound great. And his sampling is brilliant. Quote
wordsfromlee Posted January 15, 2023 Posted January 15, 2023 Some great El-B/Groove Chronicles vibes coming from this Quote
Paid Members Jazzy G Posted January 15, 2023 Paid Members Posted January 15, 2023 Forgot to pop this in here. YouTube had been recommending videos which were snippets from a recent Justice set in Paris. Well, it was last year now, but at the time it was recent. This is one of the tracks they played. It's so good. Quote
wordsfromlee Posted January 19, 2023 Posted January 19, 2023 Paul from 65daysofstatic is releasing another solo album and the lead single is killer as always. Quote
Members SuperBacon Posted January 22, 2023 Members Posted January 22, 2023 Nailed it. Also, rewatching People Just Do Nothing, I realised what an immense tune this is. Roy Davis Jr-Gabriel. Quote
Paid Members PunkStep Posted January 22, 2023 Paid Members Posted January 22, 2023 It's fucking incredible. It can be used in so many different sets too- it crosses genres. Everything about it is immense- the vocals, the trumpet, the bass (my god it's beefy) but the beat is key for me. So different from any other track out at the time. Quote
Paid Members Jazzy G Posted January 22, 2023 Paid Members Posted January 22, 2023 That first one reminds me of some of the music from Kung Fury: Street Rage. Quote
