69MeDon
I'm starting to be unable to discern fiction from reality on these fucking people anymore.  Also, according to the Mirror: "No 10 staff held ‘wine-time Fridays’ throughout pandemic with Boris Johnson regularly witnessing the gatherings. Sources say PM encouraged aides to "let off steam" despite indoor socialising being banned under lockdown rules." Is this the straw? This fucking camel has such a strong back. Anywsy this ignores the simple fact that police don't need family ties as a reason or excuse to protect power anyway.

It’s not to do with the political side, but the met involvement and why they aren’t investigating their own part. But you’re right, they know who they’re working for.
Paid Members PunkStep Posted January 15, 2022 Paid Members Share Posted January 15, 2022 Imagine naming a plan to save your own skin at the expense of others 'Operation Save Big Dog'. How shit is this country to have ever allowed this mess anywhere near top level politics.

Paid Members Jazzy G Posted January 17, 2022 Paid Members Share Posted January 17, 2022 He's decided to try and put the Royal navy in charge of dealing with the migrant boats in the Channel, apparently this and the latest effort to do away with the licence fee is part of something called "Operation red meat" where Johnson is trying to appeal to back benchers because he's shitting it over a possible no confidence and leadership challenge?

It's one of those things that's endlessly frustrating because it's Westminster-centric politics, but no one is competently standing up and saying, "for fuck's sake, he cares more about winning over a few rich mates than he does about the country or your life". We waste time debating the efficacy of the policies he's proposing, rather than highlighting the naked self-preservation that's inspired them. Vamp
Wonder how far away we are from the government bringing back capital punishment and banning anything that sounds "a bit foreign" to appease backbenchers.

Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted January 18, 2022 Moderators Share Posted January 18, 2022 That's proper shit that. And something about it really annoys me. Seems to really undercut the seriousness of it in a way that other political comedy / satire doesn't.
Tim Healys Chutney Spoon
So Boris has now said 'noone told me it was against the rules...' he bloody stood there and told us what the rules were yet seemingly had no clue of what it all meant! Any remaining credibility is now shattered with comments like that.
