Awards Moderator HarmonicGenerator Posted November 6, 2018 Awards Moderator Share Posted November 6, 2018 Past or present, which one would it be? Kids shows count because, while there was never anyone I wanted to gunge that much on GYOB, Fun House really would have been a whole lot of fun. There were several Winton-hosted shows in the 90s that I’d have loved to have a go at. Supermarket Sweep’s the obvious, and our dog / guinea pig / goldfish would have taken the nation by storm on Pets Win Prizes. But the big one, the dream, was this fella I so wanted to play my cards right on Play Your Cards Right. My sister and I even used to play it at home with a pack of playing cards. Higher! Lower! Sod your Generation Game, this was Brucey’s finest hour. These days, I wouldn’t mind giving Pointless a go and if they ever brought back on the Wall that’d be fun... but if PYCR made a comeback... I’m there. How about you?
Paid Members Fatty Facesitter Posted November 6, 2018 Paid Members Share Posted November 6, 2018 I know Jim Davidson is a pillock, but this was my favourite show as a kid. I stll love the Snooks to this day and was lucky enough to actually work on some coverage of it recently. Virgo was the first snooker personality in the building I saw and I couldn’t help but smile and think back to when I used to love his bonkers waistcoats and trick shots on Big Break. Paid Members Bellenda Carlisle Posted November 6, 2018 Paid Members Share Posted November 6, 2018 I've considered entering Catchphrase before, I'm really, really good at it and I wouldn't have to worry about my memory failing me on the spot because it's not about memory
Paid Members Gus Mears Posted November 6, 2018 Paid Members Share Posted November 6, 2018 It was Supermarket Sweep, up until I realised you only got the value of the food you put in your trolley and didn't actually get to take home three turkey crowns. Guest
Not sure if they still make it, but I'd love a go on the Total Wipeout course. All things considered, that's about my level.
gmoney
Krypton factor baby! I've got it all, and I want to show the nation!
SuperBacon
Finders Keepers. What person wouldn't want to absolutely mess up an entire house???
Paid Members Sergio Mendacious Posted November 6, 2018 Paid Members Share Posted November 6, 2018 You Bet, apparently. My choice would be Telly Addicts, so I can try and get my hands on Noel’s hoofer-doofer

I thought you meant the far superior Stilgoe show. There was another theme with Neil Tennant on vocals but this was the best one.
Paid Members Lion_of_the_Midlands Posted November 6, 2018 Paid Members Share Posted November 6, 2018 (edited) Blankety Blank. The sheer thrill of matching answers with Lennie Bennett, Lorraine Chase, and Lynsey de Paul makes up for all the crap prizes in the world. I'd sooner be on the Dawson version than the Wigan one but that's a tough call. Edited November 6, 2018 by Lion_of_the_Midlands It should be Wogan rather than Wigan but Keith's joke makes it unchangeable

Moderators PowerButchi Posted November 6, 2018 Moderators Share Posted November 6, 2018 (edited) 15 to 1. The proper one with WIlliam G. Stewart. As Houchen once called it on TWCF "The Wrestlemania of Quizzes". No gimmicks, just knowledge. Also, best bass line as introducing contestants. This is game shows though, as you rightly state, it was a quiz. The lezzer Gladstone Small version is like a fucking game show though. Paid Members IANdrewDiceClay Posted November 6, 2018 Paid Members Share Posted November 6, 2018 I'd probably go on the Chase, only so I can wear a better shirt than @Carbomb did.
