The latest results went into the opening post on Sunday evening, and will be followed by a link to the table and the next set of fixtures shortly. In a low-scoring round, the average score was just 6.3 points. As alluded to above, Rory got his first exotic D2D bet of the season wrong, but still managed to salvage 8 points from the other matches. Clearly Grecian did not approve of the choice, given that his pick was a rugby score. Only 6 of the other 11 participants actually rightly disagreed with Mr Fice (and half of those went for a draw), so it really wasn't too costly for him after all.

Stinky Dad moves 9 points clear of PRINCE2356 at the top as this week's best performer, with TildeGuy the only other contender into double figures. Zebra Kid Mark cuts the gap to ultimo by 2 points this time out, whilst Briefcase drops into the bottom half as the lowest scorer.

Closer to home than Japans, a stalemate in Wolfsburg and a reverse for Dortmund proved tough to foresee, and two big away wins in Scotland didn't yield many points either. Score draws at the Stadium of Light and Vicarage Road were more fruitful, and victories on the road for Arsenal and Chelsea were generally good for at least one-pointers. Spurs' triumph over previously unbeaten Man City was also difficult to guess beforehand.

I was banking on it being an end-to-end thriller...

All right. Perhaps the defences only get that lax once you go down to the Japanese third tier!
