Fog Dude
The results for the current round went into the start of the thread on Sunday night, and a link to the table will follow once I'm finished with this post. I'm doing this early because there's an international round coming up in which 3 Home Nations are playing their only competitive match on the Friday. Grecian pulled a move that nobody has been audacious enough to try for years by betting against his own team. That's all the more surprising as, judging by his username here, he's actually an Exeter fan and didn't just pick them at random. He was jammy enough to be right too, but only 5 of the other 11 participants actually disagreed with him (some will have picked on the assumption he'd back the home side). The 10 bonus points aren't quite enough to pull him off the bottom, but the gap is very close now. Without those bonuses, PRINCE2356 would've been the top scorer and the only person into double figures, so Stinky Dad now has an advantage of only 3 points. The average haul was reasonable at 7.83 points per player. Worst performer Briefcase managed less than half of that. A score draw in Portugal proved very fruitful indeed, but nobody got the exact scoreline from the Volksparkstadion even though the result was widely guessed. The other score in Germany saved me from dropping into last place! Curzon Ashton being held in Hereford caught most people out, and nobody quite foresaw a six-goal thriller and away win at Edgeley Park either. A rare victory for Sunderland at Dean Court fooled everyone but Rory, whilst a draw in the North London derby wasn't much use for most. A triumph for Burnley by the odd goal in five came as a bit of a surprise, and the lack of trouble at the Olympic Stadium was less of a shock than the outcome on the field. Exeter's home record this season in the league; Played 7 - won 0 - drawn 1 - lost 6 - scored 2 - conceded 10. It might have been audacious, but it was a nailed-on Luton win!
