Aren't we at the stage now where even if he loses, people understand he's not some punk on the street and that he'd still fuck up most people on earth if he cared to?

We live in a time now where we are privy to all the info we need and want. If you saw Brock lose in a real fight and then think he's some kind of pussy when he comes back, then sorry, but you're a moron.

Nobody said he would be a pussy, but his image could differ. However if he is to be back at Summerslam the following month it is unlikely he will be put against an opponent who would stand a chance of losing to.

Why does it differ though? When he came back first time he'd already been soundly beaten into retirement already.

People who think a real loss doesn't effect Lesnar's fake fight marketability - why didn't they just have any old skinny cunt end the streak if everyone knows it's fake and real fighting credibility doesn't affect anyone's enjoyment?

Answer - because perception is everything in wrestling and Lesnar's whole gimmick is that he's a real fighter.

Yes he was beaten before in the UFC, but those fights weren't co-promoted by WWE. And it wasn't a month before his next WWE match.

The whole co promotion thing to me shows that he's not gonna be getting any active roster heavyweight.

You've got The biggest draw ever back, there's no way you set him up to fail first time round. No one benefits from him losing.

Someone get Anthony Perosh on the blower for fucks sake.

Lesnar will probably end up fighting Mark Hunt (which as many have said will not end well for Lesnar if the fight stays on the feet).

Someone like Antonio Silva or Gonzaga could also be possible. Both are not the fighters they once were, but they would still give Lesnar a good fight.

I cannot see it being a nobody heavyweight.

It's not about thinking he's a pussy, it's about how his character then fits in with a whole bunch of other guys whose story in kayfabe is that they're all professional fighters too. If he loses in real life, it's difficult for to portray him as this near-invincible destroyer without making their guys look like a bunch of pussies compared to UFC (which may be the case, but they won't want to draw attention to that).

Still, thinking about it more, if Brock lost, WWE could run a storyline where he finally looks like he might be vulnerable, and he suddenly faces an onslaught of heels all looking to take him out for one reason or another - sharks smelling blood, etc.

You had it in yourself to forget wrestling is fake when the streak was important, so I'm sure you have it in yourself to forget if Brock loses an mma fight.

The announcement of Mark Hunt as his opponent is the clearest indication so far that Vince has absolutely no say in what's going on here. There no way that's who Vince would pick. Hunt's one of the most dangerous opponents for Brock. They can keep saying that Brock will be back in time for SummerSlam, but there's a very good chance he'll be doing so after Mark Hunt beats him by walk-off KO.

I wonder if this will eventually got Mark Hunt a job in WWE? He's got more character and charisma than most guys on their roster.
