TildeGuy~! Posted March 11, 2018 Posted March 11, 2018 Big win for Zack he’ll take on Ibushi in the next round, should be a cracker. Quote

TildeGuy~! Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 The quarter finals are all set now and begin on Wednesday Michael Elgin Vs Juice Robinson Bad Luck Fale Vs Hiroshi Tanahashi Kota Ibushi Vs Zack Sabre Jr Toru Yano Vs Sanada Quote
westlondonmist Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 Why do they make Yano matches more than 5 minutes? I expect Juice, Tanahashi and Sanada to go through. I think Ibushi vs Sabre could go either way but I am leaning on Sabre Jr to have him vs Sanada. Quote
Paid Members mim731 Posted March 12, 2018 Paid Members Posted March 12, 2018 After beating Naito I'm calling ZSJ to win the cup. Presumably going after Okada? Unless Suzuki is dropping the IC belt soon. Only other viable I can see is Tana. Quote

A big problem is that nobody in the tournament is someone you could believe would beat Okada. I hope the winner picks a different belt to go after. Quote
Cheapheat Posted March 13, 2018 Posted March 13, 2018 Does anyone on here have much experience of going to NJPW live? I've been lucky enough to go once, it was while I wasn't following the product but was in Tokyo so checked it out. In 2015/16 I think. Also has anyone here ever sponsored a wrestler there for dinner? I wondered what it involved. Looks a lot like an expensive date with none of the benefits. Was wondering if anyone had any personal stories of these? Quote
TildeGuy~! Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 (edited) Looking forward to that teased Suzuki/Naito Match. The semi finals are now set! 16/03/18 Juice Robinson Vs Hiroshi Tanahashi 18/03/18 Zack Sabre Jr Vs Sanada Edited March 15, 2018 by TildeGuy~! Quote
Paid Members Supremo Posted March 15, 2018 Paid Members Posted March 15, 2018 What’s the opinion of Juice Robinson? Is he going to be the next Albert in Japan? From what I’ve seen, he’s mostly average. Quote
Paid Members mim731 Posted March 15, 2018 Paid Members Posted March 15, 2018 Juice is far from top line material, but he's a decent mid-card babyface, and he's improved dramatically since his NXT days. He's very good for the role he is in, although I can't imagine him as a main eventer in NJPW. Quote
TildeGuy~! Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 The fans love him but yeah midcard at best, probably losing in all Never, US and IC title shots. Quote

I've done 14 shows during 3 consecutive G1, 2011-2013 including the four shows at Ryogoku therein, and this year's Kingdom. I regret not getting back out in between, especially since I didnt see AJ while he was there. Quote
TildeGuy~! Posted March 18, 2018 Posted March 18, 2018 Good ol Zack making the New Japan Cup final, with all the build he’s getting and the opponents he’s beaten I’m hoping he can pull it off, I still reckon Tanahashi will take it though. Quote
