Survivor Series Discussion - ***SPOILERS***

Re-watching the main event, I genuinely think Ziggler could be presented as a worthy opponent to Brock Lesnar. I know a few on here don't like him, but he's one of the best they have, especially at being a credible underdog.

The difference between Ziggler and someone like Daniel Bryan is that Ziggler has no credible offence. All Ziggler is good for is taking a beating. You can't have Lesnar knock him about for 20 minutes and then have Ziggler win with a surprise Fameasser or roll up.

JBL hit on this during the match by saying, "I don't want the guy that won't quit, I want the guy that won't quit beating people." Ziggler's been portrayed throughout his career in a very inconsistent way. I don't agree that he hasn't got any credible offence though, I always like the fact that Ziggler can come from nowehere to win a match. Don't get me wrong, if they really want to push him then they do need to show him consistently winning and in a much more dominant way.

Of course. I'm not disputing that and I hated the suggestion of Taker vs. Ziggler as Taker had had a run of really credible opponents where you think there's a chance they could beat him. But I said ages ago that Ziggler could work as a sympathetic face and that his bumps could be put to good use gaining that sympathy. He has fire too. I was told that it wouldn't work because WWE's style dictates that the heel takes the big bumps.

I think Ziggler did a good job of being that underdog face last night.

Three things pissed me off about this PPV:

1) Ryback being eliminated so quickly and easily. I await the reformation of Rybaxel.

2) Yet another pointless, boring, nonsensical Big Show heel turn which will likely lead to another match with Cena,

3) Sting's debut was completely spoiled by the graphic on the WWE Network replay. I know his debut was leaked, but it completely took away the will-he-won't-he factor, and I'm sure it did for many others too.

However, good main event besides that, and Ziggler was really good. I can't wait to see Triple H vs Sting at Mania.

I hope we get Sting on Raw for the next few weeks/months to build to a possible HHH match. Promos could be good. Could this match happen sooner, or will it be at WM? That is if they even go with that match, but after last night, how can they just ignore it.

Why can't people just enjoy what was a great moment for the company/fans? Are things like the colour of his hair really that important?

Why can't people just let me be annoyed by his bad music and Dreamyime Escorts hairdo? Is wanking yourself to a stub about other people being very excited to see Sting really that important?

Too late now but with the stakes so high why didnt Triple H just put himself in the match if he was so worried?

Since the undercard was lacking,Its a shame they didnt do a nxt 8 man tag, Neville, Zayn, Itami, Balor vs Kidd, Gabriel, Ascension, make it just one fall finish and a good way to get exposure on them and promote ®Evolution, even stick on Steens vingette when the faces are celebrating to add it wanted

It does come across a bit smarkish, like you're sitting there with your pad of paper waiting for things not to like about this big moment.  If a bit of grey at the temples has spoilt Sting coming to the WWE for you, maybe you wouldn't have enjoyed it under any circumstances unless 1997 Sting was teleported into the future to face 2010 Undertaker.

I didn't understand the whole 15 minute in ring chatter at the start of the PPV. PPV's should only have matches and leave those kind of things for Raw and Smackdown. Could have put the Cesaro vs Swagger match on the PPV instead of pre show.

I know the Divas elimination tag match was shite but after Paige was left on her own I was seriously hoping she was going to eliminate all four of the face divas on her own and I was genuinely gutted when she was pinned.

The main event was awesome. Even though I knew the rumours of Sting coming back when he came out I was in shock and I wish that I didn't have any idea of him appearing, I'm not keen on Ziggler but he did put on a good show and I think him vs Rollins at TLC would be a good'n.

Sting was on TV not 12 months ago and looked far better, and I was never a Sting guy anyway, to be honest. I was Team Luger. Fact is, he didn't look great. And as I've made clear before (and you have with your hatred of Sami Zayn's midriff), not looking great is almost an insult to me. The music was probably worse than his hair, to be honest.

Hey, it's Survivor Series! My money's on The Visionaries against the Vipers! What's that? Oh.

Show starts with Vincent K McMahon strutting to the ring. Crowd love him like a senile old uncle. He'll be eating his shit and asking if you're courting before you know it.

He called out HHH & Stephanie, and John Cena. HHH & Stephanie did the biggest suck-up jobs you've ever seen on Vince but it was all for nothing because the man is clearly insane. He's signed a contract that says that if they lose, the only man that can bring them back is John Cena. This is ridiculous. But brilliant. Who cares about realism? It's men in tiny pants fighting! This was good, but a bit long. That sets the theme for the rest of the show.

Okay, it's the first match, and it's the tag team titles four-way. It's first pin wins, which is a bit of a gyp, especially on the Survivor Series, but at least it keeps it short. It's Usos, Los Matadores, Miz & Mizdow, and the champs, the Dust Brothers.

This was Mizdow's match. The whole thing was about him, really. If you dig that, it was a ton of fun. Miz & Mizdow won after Mizdow pinned Goldust, and Miz celebrated with both titles. He got booed but Mizdow, apeing his every move, got cheered. Heh heh. Good stuff. Other bits of the match were your usual stuff from these guys.

Backstage, Adam Rose was showing That Fucking Bunny how to play with the new toys that they have out. That Fucking Bunny would not know his role. Heath Slater and Titus O'Neil, who were a part of this feud about 6 weeks ago, turned up and made fun of That Fucking Bunny being more over than Rose. They set up a match for later.

Christ, it's the women. Eight of them in one match. Jesus, this was terrible. Tyson Kidd was at ringside with Natalya and did jack all, since he's a heel and she's a face. *Shrug*. Natalya's team - Naomi, Alicia Fox, and Emma - won, eliminating all of Paige's team (Layla, Summer Rae, and Cameron).

I Duggan'd the second half of this because it went on FOR EVER. I can't see the reasoning for this kind of shit being on a show. If it's T&A, put them in a cage dancing, like TNA (I just got that! I kid.) used to. Also, get hotter women. Bleh.

It's Dean Ambrose versus Bray Wyatt! They ran a teaser ad for the next PPV - TLC - earlier in the show, and I was thinking which feud they currently had going could fit that kind of match. Ding ding ding! It's like I'm a sidekick.

This was good. They did a bunch of brawly stuff which worked well. Ambrose mocked that backwards spider walk thingy that Wyatt does at one point, which was cool. Finish came when Wyatt brought in a chair to attack Ambrose, but Ambrose got it and debated over whether to hit Wyatt. Great audio of the ref shouting, "I will DQ you, Dean!"

Ambrose decided that he didn't want his winner's share of the purse and waffled Wyatt with the chair. He then got a table and elboe dropped Wyatt through it, before throwing a bunch of other tables and chairs on top of the prone Wyatt. I kept expecting the arena to go dark and Wyatt to disappear. Guess I'm not a sidekick because that didn't happen. Instead, Ambrose got a ladder and, well, just climbed it. Yeah, TLC, baby! Good stuff.

Backstage, Team Authority were given a pep talk by HHH and Stephanie. Mark Henry looked amused throughout the whole thing, although he only has two facial expressions so you can't go too hard on him.

Hey, it's That Fucking Bunny and Adam Rose! Nothing match which That Fucking Bunny won and then stole Rose's Trust Fall, before partying off with the Rosebuds. Rose sold waiting for the tag that never came brilliantly, and then stared, fuming, after the turncoats as they left.

Right, I know some of you get Roman Reigns. I haven't seen all that much of him, although what I saw was all shit ring outfit, bad beard, and that terrible Superman punch guff. His two sitdown interviews on Raw have been the drizzling shits, like he was reading them after popping a couple of Tramadol. So they went again...

Ehhh, this was a bit better than the last two, but it's still a man struggling with a lack of charisma talking from "home" (which seems to include a big, black curtain). He promised he was on his way back. Can't wait.

Backstage, Team Cena get a pep talk from, well, Cena. They all said some guff, except Rowan who simply said, "win". You got it, fella!

Nikki Bella versus AJ Lee is up next and fuck me if it wasn't the best women's match I've seen in the WWE proper since my return to watching. I doubt they'll ever equal how much better than all the others it was.

It lasted about 5 seconds when Brie Bella snogged AJ and Nikki then rolled up the shocked pre-teen for the title victory. Despite being Nikki's bitch, Brie celebrated with Nikki after, and why not? It's not like Nikki has had her do anything bad in the TWENTY EIGHT DAYS this stipulation has been running.

Okay, main event time. They've got almost an hour, so I figure this will have some stuff in it. And it did, just not for Mark Henry, who got KO'd by the Big Show in seconds and eliminated. Sucks to be smiley-frowny man.

Ryback was next to go, in a Does Nothing For His Push way. Rollins kerb stomped him in the middle of a schmozz, and Rusev kicked him for the pin.

Rusev then got counted out because of his own stupidity. He tried to splash Ziggler through the announcer's table but Ziggler moved and managed to get back in the ring before then ten count. I get that they're protecting him from pins and submissions but not idiocy? Russians, eh?

Rowan went next, to leave it two-on-four. Rollins kneed him in the heed, and Harper hit a spinning clothesline. 1-2-3, and Rowan was done. He looked good in his bits, though.

Show then came in and turned, both literally and figuratively, to punch out Cena. Cena then got pinned by Rollins, as Show shook hands with HHH and got himself counted out walking to the back, leaving it Ziggler versus Harper, Kane, and Rollins.

The action up to now had been decent. I feared from this point on that it might dip, because Dolph fucking Ziggler, but they've done a great job in the last couple of weeks of making me care for him. Seriously. This might just elevate him to, well, I don't know where since it's already pretty crwoded on the babyface side, but you know what I mean.

Ziggler pinned Kane with a superkick and a Zig Zag, and then schooloby'd Harper. Harper, at one point, did a superkick. Yeah, that was odd. This left Ziggler versus Rollins, and the scene was set for Randy Orton to make his return and cost Rollins - and the Authority - the match. Only he didn't. Hmm.

Instead, Ziggler got interfered with by Noble and Mercury, but still got it won with the Zig Zag. As the ref was about to count, HHH pulled him out of the ring, which is surely a DQ (if the earlier interference wasn't, which it surely was)? Aaaaanyway, a second ref came out and HHH beat him up, before giving Ziggler the pedigree and draping Rollins on him for the pin. Scott Armstrong - SCOTT ARMSTRONG! DIXIE DYN-O-MITE!!! - came out to count the pin but he was interrupted by some generic music and a Dting TitanTron!

Then Dting walked slowly to the ring, revealed with every step his ginger beard and hair, laid out Armstrong, and confronted HHH, who could be seen to mouth, "what the fuck are you doing here?".

Dting then hit a very slow Scorpion Death Drop before draping Ziggler over Rollins and taking a very slow powder. The original ref recovered and counted the 1-2-3 to send the Authority out of power. Show went off the air with an eternity of reaction shots from HHH and Stephanie.

This was a one-match show, but it was a Good Match. The ending was little overbooked, but I can forgive them that when bringing in someone as big a deal - even after 13 years - as Dting. Rest of the show had it's pluses and minuses, but this was decent stuff all in all. I am intrigued as to where they can go from here, and I'm hoping that the place goes to Hell under whoever takes over so that John Cena has to use his Bring Back The Authority clause. I am a mark.
