Paid Members Carbomb Posted May 4 Paid Members Share Posted May 4 As mentioned in the Banging Sunsets thread, just got back from Rhodes, and got to try several Greek beers at various restaurants: Alpha draught is very nice - they also do one with sea salt, which doesn't actually taste salty, but it does taste a little like if they used San Pellegrino water in making it. Mythos is probably the main brand of beer in Greece - decent lager, nice cold. Washed down those keftedakia nicely. Mamos was good, slightly maltier, but again, like most lagers, best served cold in a frosted glass. This one's call Fix. Very malty, I found, which I quite like. Never got to try Fix Dark, so hopefully will try when I go again. Zythos - very clean, crisp flavour, and very refreshing. Â Overall, despite not being a lager fan, I enjoyed these. To be fair, these are probably the most suitable beers for the kind of weather they get.
