Lynch worked for over a year to get a Title shot. Charlotte had tonnes of shots in that time frame and, in fact, hadn’t been seen for months after losing her last Tilte shot clean to Carmella at Backlash. A real best friend would recognise this and decline the Title shot, not wanting to ruin Becky’s chances. At best, Charlotte is a really shit mate.

But yeah, fair play to Becky. She seems super comfortable playing heel and there wasn’t any of that usual sense of awkwardness that you get from the majority of the women when they cut live promos.

Finished the show now. Another great Smackers. Samoa Joe is the best promo in the company right now. Incredible stuff.

Heel motivations should always be based in truth, at least from their viewpoint. All of your points are valid, which is why this is such a good turn. Charlotte did nothing wrong, but you can see why an increasing bitter Becky would see it as a betrayal and the final straw.

I get that heels should have legitimate motivation, I just don’t think it should be sympathetic motivation and I don’t think someone should be built up as an overcoming-the-odds babyface for months, only for the pay off to be a heel turn. It’s super jarring. 

I thought that Elias deal where he’s trying to find some peace and quiet to play his guitar was the start of them doing fun, daft vignettes to build some proper characters...then realised it was a Pizza Hut commercial! Shame. Those are exactly what this current main roster needs to flesh them out.

Rumours are that Rowan is injured hence taking the belts off the Bludgeon Brothers. I wonder if they’ll reunite the Wyatts on Raw having Harper and Braun reunite with Bray to face the Shield? Could be interesting.

 I reckon everything they did with Charlotte and Becky was right up until they hugged after the match at SummerSlam.

At that point Charlotte should have turned on Becky instead of vice versa.

Becky already have massive support as the underdog who has been trying for 2 years to regain that Title, so Charlotte being the one who ended their friendship would have made Becky even more sympathetic and Charlotte the callous heel who does whatever it takes to whomever it takes to win.

 

That was my thoughts coming out of the ppv anyway.

Once I see last night's promo by Becky I could do a 180.

I would have preferred Charlotte to be the heel to be honest, I think that's where she needs to be if they are eventually trying to get to Charlotte/Rousey at Mania.

Not sure I could stomach an all face Rousey/Charlotte feud at Mania based on respect and all that bollocks.

On her return on the 31/07 Smackers, she defeats Carmella and this is enough to get her slotted into the women's title match at Summerslam. Charlotte, who's win/loss record against Carmella at that point since losing the title is 1-2. Charlotte, who had suffered a loss to Becky Lynch (Carmella's original singles match opponent at Summerslam) on 05/06 and only found success in two singles matches (against Billie Kay & Peyton Royce) and in two mulit-woman tags.

In fact, when Charlotte defeated Carmella on her return, it merely brought her total singles win/loss record against Carmella to 2-2, with her last singles victory being 26/09/17 on Smackers.

 

Now lets have a look at Becky's record since WrestleMania and leading up until Charlotte's return;

Becky is 6-1 in singles matches, including wins over Carmella, Charlotte and avenged her only singles loss against Mandy Rose. In fact apart from that loss to Rose, Becky's only other losing effort was the MITB match. Becky truly earned her one-on-one championship match against Carmella, whom she has a 2-0 total singles record with.

Despite all of this, Charlotte barges in on 31/07, beats Carmella and gains a championship title opportunity straight away at the expense of directly affecting her best friend's chances in the same match (the same 'best friend' who had been working hard tirelessly to even get this opportunity) wins the title and for some reason is still classed as the babyface? Get to fuck. Becky was robbed. Justice for Becky.

Sorry lad, but reuniting the Wyatt Family again might be the least interesting thing they could possibly do. Frankly, Harper is too good for either of the other two. Hopefully they repackahe Harper as a single and stick him in there with the top guys on Smackers. This was always as far as the Bludgeon Brothers thing was going to go anyway, so there’s no point putting him on ice and waiting for Rowan to return.

I think for a one off like say for instance Hell In A Cell ppv you could have The Shield Vs Wyatt, Braun and Harper in 6 man Hell In A Cell or even a War Games match. Who else are you going to put against The Shield that would have a better match with. 

It doesn't have to be a massive feud, just a stop gap to set up Braun Vs Roman at Survivor Series.

Hell In A Cell or the first ever WWE (not NXT) War Games Match should never be a “stop gap” to set up something else.

And unless Braun or Roman moves over to Smackdown that’s not happening at Survivor Series either, as it will be Red Shirts v Blue Shirts again
