scotty_1120
I'm reading old observers at the moment and noticed this in the here and there section from a 1998 listing: Â Sky TV in England will be starting a weekly 30 minute wrestling show on 3/30 which will air both current All-Star Wrestling matches along with classic British matches from the 70s and 80s when it was popular on ITV Â Did this ever actually air? Moderators PowerButchi Posted September 16, 2016 Moderators Share Posted September 16, 2016 I remember Sky Sports 3 showing old ITV matches in and around 98, but not current ones.

TAFKAC
Would jinder mahal not be better suited to using the sleeperhold to promote his peace gimmick? This will be the first and likely last time I post about him...
Paid Members Supremo Posted September 17, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted September 17, 2016 (edited) A post on Twitter just reminded me that Sheamus was WWE Champion within the last twelve months. Fucking hell, what were they thinking?! Edited September 17, 2016 by Supremo

Yeah, it was on the old "Sky Sports Gold" channel. It was, as KingofSports has said, hosted by Jeff Stelling (I have this weird feeling he was in a wrestling type set with a ring in the middle), and was just matches from the Big Daddy era. 30 minutes. Sky Sports Gold used to be on after Sky Sports 3 finished at 7pm. Edited September 17, 2016 by bAzTNM#
King Pitcos
A post on Twitter just reminded me that Sheamus was WWE Champion within the last twelve months. Fucking hell, what were they thinking?! There wasn't really anyone else for the job, and for a couple of nights, it got Roman Reigns over with Team DW. Paid Members ColinBollocks Posted September 17, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted September 17, 2016 Aye. It was a bit of hilarious booking. Basically we'll get somebody so woeful at being champion that they'll finally cheer our boy. It worked too, for a couple of weeks.
Paid Members LaGoosh Posted September 17, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted September 17, 2016 When John Morrison was released, did it have much/anything to do with Melina? Â Thinking about this Paige/Del Rio situation and how likely they are to get rid of a marketable commodity becaue of personal stuff Morrison asked for his release because he was burnt out, needed neck surgery and wanted to have a go at being a stunt man/action star in Hollywood. There's no heat with WWE and hes doing pretty good for himself.
Porkchopcash
Please put The Shield back together. They were protected to perfection amongst each other. In some way they were the perfect put together faction. Weakness's have now been exposed. Together they were immense. DavidB6937
I wouldnt say weaknesses have been exposed. They're all fully capable of being high quality main event talent. It's more booking than anything.
FUM
Aye Roman's only weakness is his mic skills, simple booking of not putting him on the mic would resolve that. Even then, his poor mic skills are probably down to strict scripting. He has everything else and is my wrestler of the year by a good bit - can't remember his last bad match. Philjax
Seemed like the crowd turned on Dean on SD this week. Maybe that will ease the pressure on RR now they've realised Ambrose is a shitarse. Which he is.
DavidB6937
Ambrose isn't a shitarse in the slightest. He's capable of putting on good matches and having an interesting character and some really intriguing promos. Â Is he at his best now? Probably not. His cocky work for a week or two recently was some of his more intriguing work and it'd be good to see that carry on versus Cena and AJ. Â All he needs is direction really. They relied too long on the fans just liking him for being the slightly crazy one without actually making him do much.
Philjax
The most interesting thing about Dean is he managed to snag Renee somehow. It's no wonder he wanders around looking like he doesn't give a toss anymore, he doesn't need a title belt, he already hit the jackpot.
