Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted September 18, 2012 Author Paid Members Posted September 18, 2012 I get so embarrassed for people from the North when they try to argue it's better than the South, it's cute that they try though, the dear silly little things. If it was better, we'd live there. Logic. London 0 Hull 4. Quote
Retro Red Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 Bonus Recipe BBQ Sauce 1/2 Pint apple cider vinegar 1/2 Pint ketchup ( Bransons is best) 3 tablespoons packed dark brown sugar 1 tablespoon English mustard 1 tablespoon Molasses 1 teaspoon Salt 1/2 teaspoon dried crushed red pepper 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce Combine and heat till sugar dissolves, then cool. Only thing I'd do differently is swap the worcestershire sauce for a teaspoon of smoked paprika, but it sounds good. Might need to try this at the weekend. Quote
RIDDUM_N_STYLE Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 Anyone tried the new Oreo imports? I had the brownie while I was in town after college on Friday which was nice, looking at trying the Cakesters and Fudge covered ones next Quote
Big Rob Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 I love Oreos, but the brownie's are fucking rotten. Dry as anything. Quote
Paid Members tiger_rick Posted September 19, 2012 Paid Members Posted September 19, 2012 Couple of years ago one of our guys brought us some Oreos back from the states. He brought the mint creme ones which were absolutely lush. Also the fudge ones with the white chocolate piping. They were even better. Quote
Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted September 19, 2012 Author Paid Members Posted September 19, 2012 I bought some of the golden ones from American Sweets last year and they were lovely. I'm hoping Mr Simms might get some of these over at some point. Quote
Paid Members tiger_rick Posted September 19, 2012 Paid Members Posted September 19, 2012 Our local sweet shop has started importing Yank stuff. I had a Vanilla Coke last week. Was OK, not as nice as I remembered. And not worth Quote
Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted September 19, 2012 Author Paid Members Posted September 19, 2012 I was a bit underwhelmed by Vanilla Coke, there wasn't much of a difference from the original, for me. Wild Cherry Pepsi was pretty nice, though. Quote

Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted September 19, 2012 Author Paid Members Posted September 19, 2012 We're talking about Oreos now, Loki, not your regional bigotry. Quote

Guy Bifkin Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Wonderfully brutal review of Greg Wallace Quote
Richie Freebird Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 Anyone had these? They are about 20p out of Tesco and they are fucking nectar. Quote
Paid Members PunkStep Posted September 29, 2012 Paid Members Posted September 29, 2012 Yeah, they're not bad are they? I like the curry flavour. I used to get them when I shopped at Tesco, because they are about a third the price of Super Noodles. I also dabbled with Tesco's own brand (which are about 30p I think), and they are fucking awful. They taste like they are coated with some artificial shite and you can feel your mouth coated in the stuff after you eat them. Nasty. Quote
Paid Members Carbomb Posted September 30, 2012 Paid Members Posted September 30, 2012 (edited) Anyone had these? They are about 20p out of Tesco and they are fucking nectar. I get them from my local shopping centre food hall - there's an "Oriental Foodstuffs" store that sells them for Edited September 30, 2012 by Carbomb Quote
