Paid Members Thunderplex Posted April 6, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted April 6, 2017 Is this all for your personal Heath Keith, or is it to impress a lady?
Keith Houchen
My health, more my mental health than anything.  Keeps the mind occupied and trying new things.  Plus it's cheap and I'm skint whilst laid up. Paid Members Thunderplex Posted April 6, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted April 6, 2017 Fair play. Â I can imagine it takes a lot of thought to do tasty food with such limitations, so will focus you. Â Had a cracking dessert at my sisters wedding that was vegan. Â It was a creme caramel type thing that was made with coconut. Â Thought it would be grainy and insipid, but it was one of the nicest puddings I have ever tasted. Â Shows what you can do if you put your mind to it. Keith Houchen
I'm doing it as a challenging behavioural thought patters kind of thing.  Always thought you need a meat in your main meal but there are many ways of having protein.  My skewed line of thought is if I challenge that belief it'll encourage me to challenge other beliefs, ones that I've had that are damaging but I consider normal (addiction issues), if that makes sense. Paid Members Thunderplex Posted April 6, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted April 6, 2017 Makes perfect sense. Â If you get your urge for meat and dairy under control, it will help train you to fight your more dangerous life issues. Â Best of luck with it. Paid Members Gus Mears Posted April 7, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted April 7, 2017 Keith, on that, I think it might help, although I am basing this on personal anecdote not medical science. I get cravings for meat but am able to control it and have certainly drank less in the week over the timeframe since I became a wrong'un. Am able to have 'a few' without turning into a booze hoover a bit more frequently.
King Coconut
It is scientifically proven that vegetarians aren't man enough to handle a shandy.
Paid Members Gus Mears Posted April 8, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted April 8, 2017 NEEEENAAAAW NEEEENAAAW Yes it's the smashed avocado siren. Avocado, lemon juice, lime juice, coriander, ginger, garlic, salt, pepper. Quick whizz in the blender and it is absolutely divine. Much improved with ginger I tell thee. Serve on ponce bread for extra Avocado points. Paid Members Thunderplex Posted April 8, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted April 8, 2017 Love avacado. Â I do a similar thing but wth a fork as I like a bit of lumpiness with it.
Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted April 8, 2017 Moderators Share Posted April 8, 2017 I've never put ginger in before, but I always chop fresh green chilies in. Both would probably be overkill..
Paid Members Gus Mears Posted April 8, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted April 8, 2017 Probably would be a bit too much considering I usually have it as a breakfast dish. Can't recommend the ginger enough though, lifts the whole lot beautifully landscaped.
Awards Moderator Onyx2 Posted April 8, 2017 Awards Moderator Share Posted April 8, 2017 I'm with Plexy, I prefer it less puréed. A marvelous thing on brown toast or on the side of a chilli.
Paid Members Gus Mears Posted April 8, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted April 8, 2017 Alright fork brigade. I'll sit here, resplendent in my blended and gingery glory, while you sit there like luddites, mashing with your fork and using dial up to look for recipes. Paid Members Thunderplex Posted April 8, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted April 8, 2017 Well if you consider the fork, I'll consider the ginger.
Paid Members Tommy! Posted April 8, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted April 8, 2017 I'm not sure if it should be here or eat clean, but I've discovered a love of 'mett', finely ground raw pork with raw onion. It's amazing.
