Paid Members Tommy! Posted August 30, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted August 30, 2014 I like the closing joke with the sad native American "do your self a favour, don't turn around"

WyattSheepMask
'Homer Goes To College' was on SKY One last night, packed full of some of the shows greatest gags and quoteable lines
Paid Members LaGoosh Posted October 9, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted October 9, 2014 'Marges fear Of Flying' was on just before and I think that might be my favorite episode. "Lisa, the important thing is for your mother to repress what happened. Push it deep down inside her, so she'll never annoy us again." WyattSheepMask
Yeah that's been on a few times recently, which I hadn't seen for years either. Cape Feare has been on a bit recently too. The wife bought my Scene It?: The Simpsons for my birthday which is awesome

Keith Houchen
'Homer Goes To College' was on SKY One last night, packed full of some of the shows greatest gags and quoteable lines Yep, Mrs H had never seen it. It's possibly my favourite episode and it quickly became one of hers.
Jon-Carr_92
The episode where Homer joins The Stonecutters is brilliant. The bit where he gets kicked out is just choice!
WyattSheepMask
Yeah that was on a couple of nights ago too. Channel4 and Sky One have been busting out some stonewall classics recently alongside some of the dross ones from more recent seasons. Margery Be Bad (think that's the title) was on recently too, the one were she goes on the run with Ruth Powers Thelma & Louise style. But it's Homer who steals the show thinking that Ballet is a circus bear driving a little car (made all the more funny when Lenny asks "oh! Going to see the bear in the little car, eh? ") and getting his arms stuck in two vending machines
Paid Members LaGoosh Posted January 16, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted January 16, 2015 AV Club have been doing a Simpsons week with some really good articles, today they posted their favorite quotes: http://www.avclub.com/article/whats-your-favorite-simpsons-quote-213835 The comments section features even more gems. Also I found out this week that SkyOne show classic episodes from 6:30-7:30 every day. Good times.
Awards Moderator HarmonicGenerator Posted February 11, 2015 Awards Moderator Share Posted February 11, 2015 Some bloke has come up with a theory that everything that's happened in The Simpsons since 1993 has been imagined by Homer-in-a-coma: http://www.buzzfeed.com/declancashin/i-am-so-smart-smrt-i-mean-smart?bffb&utm_term=4ldqphz#.cqJ4Rp34v
Ron&Hermione
Figured I would bump this thread because Sam Simon died today. I followed him on Twitter, so it's been full of references and stories about him. The guy was amazing, always posting updates on his cancer (only the other day posting a picture of his lungs being drained, it was horrific.) and showing how you don't have to survive to beat cancer. He also bloody loved animals and is apparently giving away most of his fortune to animal charities & other charities. It was Sam Simon who pitched one of the greatest episodes of any tv show of all time - Homer at the Bat. All of which quotes are in this thread. Paid Members Maverick Posted March 10, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted March 10, 2015 Homer at the Bat is my favorite ever Simpsons episode, what an episode! He also worked on Taxi and It's Garry Shandling's Show which I loved. RIP
