Fog Dude
Modding a Wii is worth it just for the Gamecube titles alone. Unless you have one of the later editions of the Wii, no modding is required at all.
Merzbow
I think they mean bootleg GC games, you can just stick them all on a USB drive.
Fog Dude
I think they mean bootleg GC games, you can just stick them all on a USB drive. Oh, right. That's fair enough. Basically all the bootleg games I've heard of are for even older consoles than that.

I have two hard drives full of gamecube games and as you can use the original Gamecube controller it doesnt seem any different to playing the original game. Paid Members Teedy Kay Posted February 19, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted February 19, 2017 Does Wii emulation still run off Homebrew? I may get my old one out the loft if so.
Abe_Knuckleball_Schwartz
Does Wii emulation still run off Homebrew? I may get my old one out the loft if so. That's how I did mine last year. Really simple to do, the only thing I had difficulty with was creating my own WAD files.
Paid Members Teedy Kay Posted February 19, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted February 19, 2017 I swear Twilight Princess only got the sales it did because of Homebrew.
Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted February 25, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted February 25, 2017 Can anyone help me with this? https://ukff.com/topic/83255-the-off-topic-questions-thread/?p=3082969
Paid Members BigJag Posted February 25, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted February 25, 2017 There's a lot of info on your query in this thread. You may want to search through it. Otherwise I'm sure somebody will be along with more detailed advice soon.
Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted February 25, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted February 25, 2017 I'm sure there is but there's 59 pages though so I'll be happy to wait!
Paid Members chokeout Posted February 25, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted February 25, 2017 Can anyone help me with this? https://ukff.com/topic/83255-the-off-topic-questions-thread/?p=3082969 Do you want to just buy something ready made it do it yourself? If you're willing to do bits yourself you can get a raspberry pi and download the rey build. Have a look at the videos of it on the last page. The actual empty cabinets can be bought off eBay although the templates are free online if you want to give it a go yourself. I'm currently building it into a coffee table and all in with the screen and the controllers I'm budgeting £250.
Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted February 25, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted February 25, 2017 Like I say, I wouldn't be able to do it myself, I'm looking for something ready and custom made. I don't really mind what hardware is in it as long as I have all the emulators I want on it.
Merzbow
From what little research I've done in the past I'd say pre-built MAME cabs often come with a huge markup. Look for retro videogame shows close by as they often have people who build/sell them there, there's one in Brum soon I might be visiting. https://www.facebook.com/events/835782656559780/ There was a company at EGX last year but I forget the name, if i remember I'll post back. Paid Members BigJag Posted February 25, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted February 25, 2017 I'm planning on going to that event. Has anyone been to one before? Are all the games free to play? Once you've paid your entrance fee.
