It's in the Donkey Kong box but doesn't have Donkey Kong! I've got a Megadrive and an N64 gathering dust somewhere too. Really should do more with them. You can buy something called an Everdrive where you download the ROMs onto a microSD card and then just play the games on the original hardware. There are some games that use specialised chips that don't work, but about 99% of games work on it.

Rey_Piste
I do wonder if if they'll put in a Super FX chip, so you could play Starwing, Stunt Racer and the other handful of games that used it. Because they are some of the few games that can't be emulated easily. It would certainly put the interest in buying the system up a bit for some people. Merzbow
I doubt it'll have any problems with those games, modern emulators handle them fine on even weaker hardware. The NES classic wasn't a slouch, the tech inside can run N64 emulators.
WyattSheepMask
Interesting to see what games are preinstalled on it. I think the comments section are going to be disappointed though. I've already seen "please come with SFII:Turbo!" and "I'm only getting this if it comes with Super Star Wars" Im guessing Mario All-Stars, Super Mario World, Donkey Kong Country series, some Zeldas are likely them things like Super Tennis (which was awesome), Super Soccer, maybe a Castlevania
Merzbow
Tecmo Super Bowl, Super Punch-Out and there'll likely be a Final Fantasy as 1 was on the NES Classic (3 in Japan), maybe even Chrono Trigger. F-Zero and Pilotwings surely?

I meant more stuff like the Everdrive etc, where those games that have the Super FX chip can't be ran from ROMs.
CAREBEAR LUVVA
A new fan-made 2D Sonic game has just been released after 12 years in development. It's a free download for Windows if anyone fancies it. Haven't got round to having a go yet but the trailer looks pretty decent. Here's the download link for anyone interested: https://overboundstudio.com/index.php?action=game_page&id=

Paid Members Egg Shen Posted April 23, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted April 23, 2017 Cannon Fodder was incredible. Is that available to play anywhere these days?
Merzbow
https://www.gog.com/game/cannon_fodder It's not the superior Amiga version but it's set up to run on modern PC's with little to no faffing.

Guest
That's why it was probably now or never, considering its hook of "look what dedicated fans can achieve with Sonic" is about to be made somewhat redundant. Anyone played it yet?
