My sweet lord. I cannot get my head around that lot. Metallica on the undercard, Slayer reunion show, Pantera, fucking Gojira, Alice In Chains. My heart is racing and I doubt I'll even manage to get a ticket.

Hell of a bill, and I’d imagine a hell of a price once tickets go on sale. As it’s for charity I’m willing to overlook whatever price that might be

Same. I'd imagine Ticketmaster will have caught fire a couple of hours before tickets even go on sale on the day too. It's going to be a fucking bloodbath.

It'll be interesting to see what those 'additional performances' are. I presume they'll be coming on to do a song with Ozzy or Black Sabbath.

There's apparently going to be some kind of supergroup performance, so for the most part I think a lot of the guests are there to give Ozzy and Sabbath breathers and fill in for them.

Tickets are expected to start around the £200 mark, which honestly isn't unreasonable given how much you'd pay for combination of those acts individually. A mate of mine had a look at hotel prices that weekend, and there's some already shooting up to over £700, so it's going to be a bloodbath.

Jake E Lee on the bill is a nice surprise. I can see the "classic era" Ozzy fans going nuts if they play Bark At The Moon.

I would have expected Judas Priest though, given their overlapping history. KK's there, I suppose.

Something I realised earlier when looking at the poster again is that of the bands playing full sets, apart from Halestorm, all of them at some point or another I'd have said "I think they're my favourite band at the moment".

Judas Priest are in Germany that night, they’re touring with Scorpions. Had they been free I’d imagine they’d have been a sure thing to have been playing.

With this being a charity thing I’d expect it to either be streaming or released physically at some point t down the line

Ticket prices for that Sabbath gig look like they'll be starting at over £300 once booking fees are included, and up to over £425 before you even get into VIP tickets.

I'll still probably try to get tickets, but it's looking like a hard sell at that price. Particularly as there's a few acts on the bill I actively dislike, and plenty I'm indifferent to, and some I've seen before, so it's not as appealing to me as it is to some of my mates who are way more excited about the more nu-metal end of that "additional performers list".

Have you got a source for this Pat? I don't doubt it, but I've had mates asking about what we think the prices are looking like and would be good to direct them somewhere.

I'll have to check the source - it's from a mate in a group chat, but he's a metal promoter who was asking around his contacts, and is usually pretty good on this stuff.

Have set myself a limit of £200 ticket price, as amazing as the line-up and possible occurrences that might happen during the day, just can't afford more than that, plus travel food, booze, etc...

I’m guessing this is gonna be more of a LiveEarth/Freddie Mercury Tribute setup?  I really don’t think any of them will play a set
